New data reported by ABC13 Houston shows that SNAP enrollment in the Houston area has fallen to its lowest level in at least four years. Meanwhile, new data from Dallas–Fort Worth reveals that one in four children is experiencing food insecurity.

This means fewer families are receiving critical support as grocery costs continue to rise.

The moment is urgent, and this Sunday is our opportunity to help build a future where no family has to wonder where their next meal will come from.

Faith communities cannot meet this need alone. Charitable organizations provide approximately 10% of food assistance in Texas, while SNAP provides 90%.

Together, we can raise our voices and answer the call.
