Thought for today…

The urge to fix, is often about OUR discomfort with someone else's pain — not their need.

Romans 12:15 says mourn with those who mourn — not coach those who mourn, not fix those who mourn.

Presence is the ministry. Being WITH someone in their pain without trying to resolve it is one of the most godly things you can do. Jesus wept with Mary before he raised Lazarus.

RADICALLY MESSY (radicallymessy) is a word, God gave me years ago for a ministry name. So what's the point?

We all have MESSY lives, we are broken by sin. "We have all sinned and have come short of the Glory of God." Romans 3:23... - "Not better or worse than each other?

But there is HOPE: "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; belold, ALL things have become new." (interested?)

Reread that carefully,
1. There is a condition?
2. There is a promise?
3. There are two results?
- Plus a last question!

This brother could sure use our prayers and encouragement. A donation about now should go a long ways in helping Rex and his family with his fight with cancer. This is a very rough battle and treatment. They have three young children.
