Southeast District Prayer Focus for May 18-24, 2026
Beaumont, St. James United Methodist Church
St. James United Methodist Church in Beaumont, Texas is a historic congregation that recently celebrated 150 years of ministry. As a church, we strive to be a welcoming place where people can grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and serve Christ in the community.
We ask for prayer support for our United Women in Faith ministry, which has become active again over the past year after a season of inactivity. Through fellowship gatherings, worship opportunities, service initiatives, and spiritual encouragement, this ministry has become a tremendous blessing to the women of our church and surrounding community.
Their upcoming celebration on July 12th at 3:00 PM is themed “Bloom Where God Planted You,” inspired by I Corinthians 7:17 and Jeremiah 29:4–7, encouraging women to faithfully serve God wherever they are planted. Also, the women have resumed providing meals for students at the Lamar University Wesley Foundation, a meaningful outreach ministry that restarted this year.
These women are committed to serving God and making a difference in the lives of others. Please pray for continued growth, unity, spiritual strength, and community impact through this ministry as they continue rebuilding and expanding their presence within the church and beyond.
Thank you again for covering St. James UMC in prayer.
