🙏 Sunday Worship

Moses had a question for God: “Me? You want ME to do this? 😳” Moses was afraid. Moses felt inadequate. Moses had plenty of excuses. But God gave him one simple promise: “I will be with you.”

This Sunday, let’s learn from Moses about the God who is always with us—even when we’re unsure, afraid, or thinking, “God, are you sure you picked the right person?” 😄

🎒 Backpack Giveaway & Blessing 💙

What a wonderful day at Hurdtown UMC! Today, we were blessed to serve 52 families and 136 children through our Backpack Giveaway! 🎒📚✏️

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this day possible—those who donated, prepared, served, and welcomed our neighbors with love. ❤️

And the blessing continues tomorrow! 🙏

Join us tomorrow, Sunday, August 16 at 10:00 AM at Hurdtown UMC for our Backpack Blessing Worship Service. We’ll pray over our children, their backpacks, teachers, families, and the new school year ahead.

Our team has been counting, sorting, and stuffing backpacks — and every single one is waiting for a kid who needs it.

Free backpacks and school supplies. No sign-up, no paperwork, no strings. Just come.

And then come back the very next morning — Sunday, August 16 at 10:00 AM — for our Backpack Blessing. We'll pray over the kids, their backpacks, their teachers, and the whole year ahead. Every student is welcome, whether you got a backpack from us or brought your own from home.

New school year. New start. You don't have to walk into it alone. 💙
