The Gospel and God's moral Law are not rivals.

"We maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law" (Romans 3:28). Yet only a few verses later, Paul asks:
"Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law" (Romans 3:31).

Christ did not save His people so they could ignore God's commandments. He saved them to become a people who love Him, delight in His will, and are zealous for good works.
As Paul says, the moral Law is "sound doctrine" and is "according to the gospel" (1 Timothy 1:8–11).

Read Romans 3:21–31 today and ask yourself: Does my understanding of grace lead me to love God's Law more, or less?
