Humility in Leadership: Embracing God’s Call for Authenticity and Grace
Contrary to some beliefs, humility isn’t weakness; it’s grounded strength born from understanding our reliance on God.

Openness: Embrace learning and feedback. “Give me understanding, that I may learn your commandments.” - Psalm 119:73.

Teachability: A humble heart continuously grows. “The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.” - Proverbs 18:15.

Relatability: Connect genuinely with those you lead. “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” - Ephesians 4:2.

Recognition: Celebrate collective achievements. “Two are better than one... For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.” - Ecclesiastes 4:9-10.

Wisdom: Seek God’s wisdom daily. “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.” - Proverbs 11:2.

Remember Micah 6:8 as you navigate leadership’s terrain: “To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Servant Leadership: Christ’s Blueprint for Leading with Love
Many leadership styles have come and gone, but the model of “Servant Leadership,” demonstrated perfectly by Jesus, remains timeless. At its core, it’s not about exerting authority but lifting others up.
Empowerment: Jesus empowered His disciples, seeing their potential. In the same way, servant leaders uplift their teams. “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up” - 1 Thessalonians 5:11.
Listening: Jesus listened deeply. Likewise, servant leaders value every voice. “Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” - Proverbs 11:14.
Selflessness: Just as Jesus placed others first, so should we in our leadership. “Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others.” - Philippians 2:4.
Compassion: Jesus was the embodiment of compassion. A servant leader follows this example. “Be kind and compassionate to one another” - Ephesians 4:32.
Modeling: Lead as Jesus did, by example. “In everything set them an example by doing what is good.” - Titus 2:7.
Recall Christ’s own words in Mark 10:45, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.” This model is for all who wish to lead with love and purpose.

Integrity: The Hallmark of Godly Leadership
Often hailed as the cornerstone of trust, it’s a value deeply rooted in the Scriptures and foundational for those aspiring to lead with God at the center.

But why is integrity so important?
Trustworthiness: When leaders act with integrity, they become trustworthy. And trust, as Proverbs 22:1 suggests, is more valuable than silver or gold. Trust fosters loyalty, cooperation, and long-lasting relationships.
Consistency: A leader with integrity remains steadfast in both good times and challenging ones. Their actions align with their words, making them predictable in the best way possible.
Accountability: Such leaders take responsibility for their actions, including their mistakes. They recognize, as Proverbs 28:13 says, that “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper.”
Moral Compass: A godly leader’s decision-making process is firmly anchored in Biblical principles. They don’t bend to societal pressures but stay true to what is right and just.
Legacy: Integrity leaves a legacy that impacts generations. When leaders pave the way with integrity, they inspire others to walk in their footsteps.
Integrity can define who we are as a leader, both in our values and character. It’s not just a leadership quality; it’s a lifestyle choice that honors God and blesses those around you.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)

Did you know that friendships have always been a part of God's original design? In Genesis 2:18, after creating Adam, God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." We were made to be in relationship with Him and each other.
But in today's world, we might feel surrounded by people yet isolated. As Christians, we can learn from the ultimate friend, Jesus himself!

Join your Workplace Community for a 5-week study, starting on Tuesdays from Sept. 26th to Oct. 24th. We'll explore the art of building meaningful friendships in and out of the workplace, following Jesus' example. We can’t wait to take this journey with you! 👥👥
Share this with a friend who’s looking to join a small group!

“I sense a divine momentum in workplaces right now. With so many seeking life's deeper meanings, workplace believers stand at the threshold of vast opportunities to share and spread God's love.”- Ron Kelleher

Let’s hear from another influential voice in our community, Ron Kelleher! Ron loves to mentor emerging Christian business leaders, helping them fuse their faith with their professional lives. He seeks to provide these leaders with biblical solutions to real-world business problems. His aspiration? That every Christian in the business field recognizes their unique platform to show God's love and grace.
Ron brings a combination of pastoral wisdom and corporate expertise. With 36 years of experience as a senior executive in a Fortune 500 company, followed by his journey into pastoral ministry, he's exceptionally equipped to bridge the gap between faith and business. This unique blend is also evident in his writings, where he combines practical business lessons with profound biblical truths.
A cornerstone of Ron's approach is his unyielding faith. "The intersection of faith and work is where God's plan unfolds. It's where we experience His guidance and provision in tangible ways. By actively seeking Him daily, we transform not just our work, but our lives."
We’re looking forward to hearing from Ron and others in our community as we continue through this Professional Perspectives series. We deeply appreciate your dedication to serving within our Workplace Community, Ron!

Over a recent family vacation, I was connecting with a cousin of mine. He has been a professional chemist for his 25-year career, working on projects from cereal box glue to creating adhesives that can withstand the intense temperatures of gnarly, nobody-should-ever-find-themselves-in environments. I found it fascinating. When I asked him how he knew this is what he wanted to do, he said it was just in him.
If you ask a pastor why they went into ministry, most will share a story of how they were “called” into their work. If you were to press them on what that means, they’d ultimately describe that they have a sense of God’s specific direction for the role they’re in.
Like my cousin and your pastor, you have a calling.

God, the One who has created you, the One who allowed His Son to die so that He could have a renewed relationship with you, that same God has a plan for your life and work. He doesn’t just want to bless your work, He wants to lead you in it.

As your workday begins, ask God to give you His vision for your work. He has called you to it, so don’t miss the purposes He has for you in it.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” -Ephesians 2:10

We are devastated and heartbroken over the shooting tonight in our community at Cook’s Corner where at least four people tragically lost their lives and others were injured.

Praying isn’t the only thing we do, but it is the first thing we do. We want you to know we are working to create a space for our community to come together to pray and process. We’ll update you tomorrow with all of the details on that.

Our hearts are hurting and we know yours are too. In moments like this, we cling to the promises of God. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
