Faro’s Youth Ministry exists to Attract, Attend, Attain, and Attach first, second, and third generation Hispanic and American youth of South Orange County to Faro Church. Attract - Mark 12:37b says, “The large crowd listened to him with delight.”
Our main goal is to disciple youth to “be different” by creating a relaxed environment where they can hear God’s Word through impacting studies, entertai
ning discussions, challenging sermons, adventurous events, dramas, and personal testimonies. Attend - Matthew 25:35-36 says, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'”
Before we preach, we genuinely desire to meet their needs in variety of ways, from a simple greeting, to a sincere prayer to accept Christ. We are not only resolved to learn about our faith, but to put it into practice as we serve others. Attain - 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 says “Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.”
We are committed to spreading the Good and Simple News of Jesus Christ to this generation. We understand that the Gospel never changes but the strategies do. We will win the lost at any cost. Attach - Hebrews 10:25 says “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Staying connected is extremely important for people who want to grow in their relationship with Christ and be used for his purpose. We are determined to abolish “clicks” and bring new believers into healthy relationships by way of connecting them to a Faro Church where they can learn to be a disciple and become skilled at giving their lives in a way that honors their Creator.
