Thank you to the McKinlock Post 264 American Legion and all the volunteers who showed up to honor our Veterans at the Lake Forest Cemetery in preparation for Memorial Day.

If you are able to spend some time honoring our veterans here at the Cemetery this weekend, please join the American Legion McKinlock Post 264 on Saturday, May 23rd at 8AM for Cemetery flag placement. Meet at the entrance of Lake Forest Cemetery.

Our spring / summer visiting hours are in effect. The Cemetery gates will now be open longer hours, closing daily at 8:00 pm.

Our posted visiting hours are:
May to September: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
October to April: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Spring is beginning to bloom in the Cemetery and I even spotted a couple of bunnies on my walks.

Our annual spring clean-up is complete. If any artificial winter decorations need to be kept, they can be picked up behind the Cemetery Office. All easels for the fresh winter wreaths have been kept and placed in storage. Give us a call or stop by next season and we can place them on your site for you.
