Village Church of Lincolnshire Hour in the Word: 9:00am; Worship Service: 10:30am God has made our church our home. We learn newcomers’ names as soon as we can.

One thing we hear a lot from our guests is, “I felt like I had come home.” All our deepest values are anchored in being the home God wants his people to be. Maybe our wooded property and warm cedar interior has something to do with it. But mostly it is the way we see each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. A large majority of our people are in small groups together. We like the mix God has g

iven us of all ages and several different ethnic backgrounds. We love having students from nearby Trinity International University, and we invest in being a mentoring church. At Village Church one of our favorite lines is, “We paint with the colors God gives us.” We don’t market our church to a certain age group. Our worship services are as creative and diverse as our people; meaningful music, thoughtful Scripture readings a variety of people involved in leading. We seek to bring God’s grace to life in everything we do. Village Church has a commitment to preaching that is rooted in God's Word. We prayerfully strive to bring God’s timeless truth into the challenges of everyday living. We believe God gives us new and everlasting life through Jesus Christ, and that the Bible is God’s unerring Word. We invite you to browse our website. This past Sunday, we began our new series, Making a Place, exploring what it means to draw close, make room, and welcome others into the kind of community Jesus is forming among us.

The table isn’t just a place where we receive—it’s a place where we make room for someone else.

As we reach across generations, may we be a church that keeps inviting all to live in Christ’s love.

What does it look like to make a place for others to encounter Jesus—and to become the kind of disciples He calls us to be?

Over the next several weeks at Village Church of Lincolnshire, our Making a Place series will explore what it means to live out our mission of reaching across generations, inviting all to live in Christ’s love.

We’ll discover together what it looks like to be disciples who are faithful in prayer, wise in Scripture, courageous in witness, and loving in community.
