As the Student Ministry wing of Quest Church in Lake Elsinore, CA, our mission is to grow youth into people who live for the Gospel. We disciple students, challenge them to share their faith with others, and mature them in their relationship with God and each other. To accomplish this, Quest Church StuMin has identified five aspects of Christian living to emphasize: Evangelism, Discipleship, Minis
try, Fellowship, and Mission. For students in QC StuMin, they will be equipped with knowledge, challenged to share the Gospel, engaged in ministering to others, partake in fellowship, and embark on mission. Our Goals at Quest Church Student Ministry are to train in these five aspects through the following means:
•Evangelism: Each member of the Student Ministry community has been introduced to the importance and mandate of evangelism and come to believe that it is normal and knows their own unique way of doing it.
•Discipleship: Each member has the opportunity to be mentored in a group capacity, with some receiving individualized attention, and is challenged to grow beyond their status quo.
•Ministry: Each member is to be acquainted with Christian service in some ministry within the church. Within a year of joining the Student Ministry group, each member will know their own gifts and talents appropriate for ministry service and be connected to a ministry opportunity. We will be intentional in weekly meetings in helping people to understand their gifting. On a monthly basis, each Student Ministry member will be informed about potential opportunities of service within the church and encourage them to participate in serving.
•Fellowship: Each member has developed significant Christian relationships with other Christians. Through “prayer and share” time, the Students will work to foster connections during weekly Youth Group Meetings. Corporate and local church events will aid in fostering community and fellowship.
•Mission: Each member of the Student Ministry community is acquainted with the idea of mission and has opportunity to learn more and be involved in the missional endeavors in some capacity. Each member will be presented with the opportunity to participate in a mission project through the local church. Each member will be presented with an opportunity for each member to volunteer in a fundraising project that accomplishes the goal of supporting a mission project.
