This was just sent to the supporting churches of The Lake Shetek Baptist Camp:

Dear Friends in Christ,

We want to sincerely thank you for your faithful prayers and support as we embarked on the journey to find a new camp director. By God's gracious provision, those prayers have been answered.

We are delighted to announce that Joel Bordewyk of Windom has accepted the call to serve as our new director. Joel and his wife, Chris, have been serving with Time to Revive, a ministry based in Texas. The Lord has stirred their hearts toward Camp Shetek, and they are eager to begin this new chapter in their lives and in our camping ministry.

To ensure a smooth transition, Steve Harms will remain on staff for several months to mentor and train Joel. We are deeply grateful for Steve's continued dedication and leadership during this season.

It is our desire to introduce Joel to your congregations so that he may begin building relationships and share how the Lord is leading him to serve at Camp Shetek. We ask that you continue to uphold this transition in prayer, as well as the staffing needs for the coming year.

We are excited to see how God will bless and expand our outreach through Joel and Chris.

May you have a blessed Christmas season filled with the joy of Christ's coming.
