💙 Optional Memorial of St. Teresa of Calcutta

Today we remember St. Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa), whose life was a beautiful witness of love, mercy, and service to Christ through the poorest and most vulnerable among us. Founder of the Missionaries of Charity, she dedicated her life to seeing and serving Jesus in those who were suffering, forgotten, and alone.

Her example reminds us that holiness can be found in the simple, everyday acts of love we offer to others. May we look for opportunities today to share Christ’s compassion with someone who needs it.

🙏 Heavenly Father,
Through the intercession of St. Teresa of Calcutta, give us hearts filled with love for You and for our neighbors. Help us recognize Jesus in the poor, the lonely, the sick, and all those in need. Give us the courage to serve generously, love humbly, and bring Your light wherever we go.

Today’s Gospel reminds us that following Christ means allowing Him to continually renew our hearts. Jesus tells us, “New w**e must be poured into fresh w**eskins.” — Luke 5:38

🙏 Heavenly Father,
Open our hearts to the newness You desire for our lives. Help us let go of anything that keeps us from growing closer to You. Give us the courage to follow Christ faithfully, the wisdom to recognize Your will, and the grace to bring Your love to everyone we meet.

May we trust You with each new beginning and allow Your Spirit to renew us each day.

✝️ Memorial of St. Gregory the Great

Today the Church celebrates St. Gregory the Great, Pope and Doctor of the Church. A devoted servant of Christ, St. Gregory led the Church from 590–604 and is remembered for his care for the poor, dedication to the liturgy, missionary efforts, and influence on sacred music and Christian teaching.

His life reminds us that true leadership is rooted in humility, service, and love of God.

🙏 Heavenly Father,
Through the intercession of St. Gregory the Great, give us hearts eager to serve You and one another. Grant wisdom to the leaders of Your Church, strengthen those who teach the faith, and help each of us use our gifts for Your glory. May our lives always lead others closer to Christ.

🍂🙏 Welcome, September! 🙏🍂

As we begin a new month, we place our days, our families, and our parish community into God’s loving hands.

September is traditionally dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows, reminding us of Mary’s steadfast faith and trust in God even in times of suffering. May her example inspire us to remain close to Jesus and to bring compassion, hope, and love to those around us.

🙏 Prayer for September

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this new month. Guide our steps, strengthen our faith, and help us seek You in all that we do. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, give us hearts filled with compassion, patience, and trust. May we recognize Your presence in every blessing and remain faithful through every challenge.

As our students head back to school this week, we lift them, their teachers, and their families up in prayer. ❤️

May God fill our students with wisdom, kindness, courage, and joy as they learn and grow. May He bless their teachers with patience and understanding, surround every classroom with His peace, and send His angels to guide and protect our children each day.

May every student know that God walks beside them wherever they go. ✝️

🙏 Lord, hold our children in the palm of Your hand and bring them safely home at day’s end. Amen.

Today’s Gospel invites us to embrace humility and reminds us that greatness in God’s eyes is found not in seeking recognition, but in serving others with love.

Jesus calls us to make room at our tables and in our hearts for those who may be overlooked or forgotten. When we give freely and love generously, we reflect the heart of Christ. ❤️

Today the Church remembers the Passion of St. John the Baptist, the faithful forerunner of Christ who courageously proclaimed the truth even when it cost him his life.

John’s witness reminds us that following Christ calls us to stand firm in our faith, speak the truth with love, and remain faithful to God even when it is difficult.

📖 “He must increase; I must decrease.” — John 3:30
