The whole of it, salvation and promise of eternal life, extends from that beginning by faith and repentance when we accept Christ as Lord and Savior. John Wesley preached we are made righteous, as Christ is righteous but we are then called to contribute our talent in service to the Great Commission to be justified by our faith God extended to us by His grace. From that step Wesley encourages the faithful to strive to be Christ-like in our endeavors in the world. To grow in God's knowledge working toward Christian Perfection, to become sanctified in the godly manner in which we live out God's commandments and laws. We may not fully achieve what we strive to attain in this life but by His loving grace we may be sanctified in the life everlasting.

A good day to be serving food and thanks to everyone helping to support our ministry. A steady turnout serving up 45lbs of pulled pork, slaw, beans, chip, and the ladies made desserts as a bonus. Scranton UMC helped sell tickets and Nazareth UMC helped serve the meals. We appreciate our fellow Charge churches. βœοΈπŸ•ŠοΈπŸ€—

May 24, 2026 Pentecost, during the Festival of Weeks (7) on Shavuot - 50 days from The Feast of First Fruits (the day before the Resurrection Christ). After 40 days teaching and appearing among the people, Christ told the 11 Disciples on the day of Ascension, return to Jerusalem and wait for the Comforter the Holy Spirit, the power of God. During the next 10 days they elected Matthias to replace Judas, and the Holy Spirit descended upon them. βœοΈπŸ›πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ”₯πŸ“–

Alright, Saturday BBQ prep has begun. The first 4 Boston Butts have been slathered in mustard, covered in rub mixture and in the smoker overnite at 225 degrees. Using a mix of hickory and apple wood. Thanks to Edwin for donating some butts. I'll be pulling the pork in the morning. Then put the remainders in the smoker.πŸ– 🍴

It has been a full and blessed Holy Week, remembering all God has done for us through the Son, Christ Jesus. The New Covenant is in place so that all may be redeemed by Christ's sacrifice on the cross, which paid the Sin Penalty for us all. What our Father in heaven asks is that we, by faith, believe and repent of our sinful nature so we may transform our lives devoted to serving God by being of service to our fellow man. Stay strong in faith and join together in communal worship connected to the body of the church with Christ at the head of all we do for God's kingdom. May His blessing be upon you during this time of faith renewal this Easter Season. For 40 days, Christ walked among the people after Resurrection Sunday. He then ascended to the right hand of the Father, and 10 days later, the Holy Spirit descended and came into the Disciples gathered in the upper room on Pentecost. To help our ministries and outreach, consider making a secure donation to this church body by using the QR Code. βœοΈπŸ’–πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ€—

John 13: 34-35 KJV, "A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
This testimony is that of a comedian who struggled with alcoholism, wanted to change, and found that transformation possible by God's grace and Jesus' sacrifice. As disciples, we serve by facilitating and extending God's grace and Christ's agape love.

Good morning everyone! God bless each of you and keep you safe. I thought I might remind you to check on, call, our friends in nursing homes or who might not be able to get out. Let’s use this page to share what’s happening at our house with others. With that in mind, we’re staying around the house, trying to get out each day to walk around the house. One circuit is about 700 steps.
What are you doing?
