What a great night together at the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp game! From cheering on the home team to enjoying good food, great conversations, and plenty of laughs, it was a wonderful time of fellowship for our Connect Church family.

A few lucky fans even went home with baseballs, and while the game went into extra innings and kept us out a little later than expected, the memories made were well worth it!

Thank you to everyone who came out and a special thanks to Mitch for helping organize the event. We love spending time together outside the church walls and building the relationships that make Connect Church feel like family.

📖 Sunday Recap | Connect Church of Lake City

This Sunday, Pastor Hal continued our study through Romans 5 and shared a powerful message on finding joy in the middle of life's trials. While it's easy to rejoice in God's promises, Scripture calls us to rejoice in tribulations as well—because God uses them to produce perseverance, character, and hope.

Pastor Hal reminded us that trials are not signs that God has abandoned us. Instead, they are opportunities for growth, preparing us for what God has ahead. Every challenge is a chance to deepen our faith, strengthen our endurance, and become more like Christ.

No matter what you're facing today, don't lose heart. The same God who has been faithful in past battles will be faithful in the ones ahead. Our hope is secure because He is with us every step of the way.

"We also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope." — Romans 5:3-4
