Kentucky Mission Trip Day 4!
Yesterday started with breakfast, a comprehensive orientation and a tour of our Send Relief 24,000 square foot warehouse. We were all so impressed and Donald was a bit envious as he repeatedly lamented, “I’ve got to get me one of these!”
After lunch we began our mission work in earnest by going to the Lovewell Mission Center and engaging in all kinds of mission work for Jesus. We picked up trash outside the center. We cleaned and organized areas where the mission’s “friends” can use points they earn to shop for essentials. We wiped down mold covered walls. We moved furniture, folded donated clothes, and much more.
We ended our day prayer walking around the mission center and pray driving around Ashland. We had and took advantage of opportunities to personally pray for lots of people. And several of us, while working outside the mission center, had the privilege of engaging a young man name Benjamin in a gospel conversation and ultimately lead him to faith in Christ! Praise the Lord!
