As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we believe that Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God and the Savior of the world. He is the center of the gospel and the perfect example we should follow.

Jesus Christ came to earth to teach us true love, heal the afflicted, and give His life for us. Through His sacrifice in Gethsemane and on the cross, we can repent, change, and find peace even during the hardest moments.

We believe that on the third day He rose again gloriously, overcoming death so that all of us may live again. He lives today, knows us personally, and never leaves alone those who place their faith in Him.

Following Jesus Christ does not mean being perfect; it means trusting Him every day and allowing His light to transform our hearts.

“The Savior’s charge to His disciples to love one another—and the dramatic and powerful way He taught this principle at the Last Supper—is one of the most poignant and beautiful episodes from the last days of His mortal life.

He was not teaching a simple class in ethical behavior. This was the Son of God pleading with His Apostles and all disciples who would come after them to remember and follow this most central of His teachings.

In the face of the eternity-shaping Atonement He was about to undertake, such a commandment requires our obedience.

We manifest our love for God when we keep His commandments and serve His children. We don’t fully comprehend the Atonement, but we can spend our lives trying to be more loving and kind, regardless of the adversity we face.”

Have you ever felt that your life took a path that you did not expect?

Ruth left behind everything she knew to follow her mother-in-law and a God whom she was only beginning to learn how to love. Meanwhile, Hannah wept in silence before the Lord, bearing a sorrow that no one else could see. Neither of the two lived the life she had imagined, and yet, both learned that faith must not depend upon circumstances.

"Let me assure you that you do not need to physically visit Jerusalem to feel the same things that we felt that day and have many times since.

"You can have that knowledge and confirmation by the Spirit when you study the life of our Savior, the restoration of the priesthood, and the return of the sealing keys by Elijah that unite our families for eternity. You can feel by the surety of spiritual confirmation that our Savior accomplished the Father’s plan. At times, joy may feel like an elusive concept that we will forever chase but
never actually obtain. But what if joy isn't something you can possess? What
if joy is a way of living?

God has always given His children commandments. In many ways, these
commandments are instructions for how to life a joyful life. True joy comes through following Jesus Christ.
