I honestly still don’t have the words to fully explain what God did during the 2025 “Lake Area” Gospel Music Honors. This was not just a program, it was a sacred encounter. You truly had to have been there. From the opening moments of praise and worship to the final benediction, the atmosphere was filled with reverence, gratitude, and the unmistakable presence of Almighty God.
I am profoundly grateful to God and deeply thankful to Southwest Louisiana for showing up, standing with us, and experiencing this historic moment together. For 30 years, this region has helped us preserve and celebrate the history, heritage, and heartbeat of Gospel music while honoring those who faithfully carried the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music, leadership, service, and sacrifice.
We were honored to celebrate and recognize Aundreis D. Carrier; Corey “CJ” Dotson, Jr.; Dr. Nypheteria Clophus Larry; Bishop Dr. Johnny Clophus, Sr. and Lady Georgia Clophus; Superintendent Darnold T. and Evangelist Ethel L. Catlon; Apostle Eale Malveaux and Lady Merendia Malveaux; and Pastor Marcus and Dr. Shontill McNabb. Your lives and legacies reflect faithfulness, endurance, and obedience to the call of God.
My heartfelt thanks also go to the Fullness of Joy Ministries, Inc. Choir, our special musical guest, Kim Stratton, every participant, supporter, and special guest who helped make this night unforgettable.
Thank you to everyone who helped give life, structure, and momentum to the vision God entrusted to the Gospel Music Honors. Southwest Louisiana, thank you for three decades of trust, partnership, and purpose. The mission continues, the legacy lives on, and the vision remains clear. To God be all the glory for what He has done, what He is doing, and what is still to come.
