Good morning to all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and also to all of you who may be straddling the fence, may we encourage you to choose Jesus because He is the Way, the Truth and the Light.
The late James Brown recorded a song that said, “This is a man’s world, but it would be nothing without a woman or a girl..” So today, as we honor our Mothers, listen to what Proverbs 31:28 has to say, it reads, “Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her..” So on this beautiful May morning, sunshine or rain, we encourage the women in our lives to possess “A Mother’s Love, A God kind of Love.”
You see, there is a Large Monument in Mexico City called, “Monumento a la Madre (Monument to the Mother), on which are inscribed these words: “To her who loves us before she meets us..” Now, can I tell you, these words refer primarily to the maternal love for an unborn child that a mother feels even before the child leaves the womb… But it must also refer to the unconditional nature of a mother’s love… You see, before knowing her child’s appearance, personality or health, a mother says, I love you.
A mother’s love is a God-Kind of Love--- the kind of love Paul described in 1 Corinthians 13 as the kind of love that never fails… It has been said that a mother is someone with whom you may not see eye to eye, but is someone with who will always walk with you, arm in arm… In other words, a mother like God is one who loves not because love is returned, but because she chooses to love.
So today, as we honor our mothers or their memories, let’s do so with tangible expressions of thanks and praise… “HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY” with much love from Pastor and Sister Jourdan.

Good morning to all the saints of God… What a wonderful day to be alive and to have use of our mental capacities to thank God for what He is doing and has done in our lives… If for some reason today you don’t have that relationship with the Almighty, I implore you today to get to know Him through all that His Son Jesus the Christ has done for us… Now you may ask, just how do I accomplish this..? Well, it’s as simple as you acknowledging that you are a sinner in need of a Savior and then invite Jesus into your heart, and then believe He will make all the difference.
Our scripture verse today comes from Revelation 15:3 which declares, “And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty: just and true are thy ways, thou King of Saints..” So today, we want to encourage you to know that “God alone is Worthy.”
You see, our definition of worship means worthiness or an acknowledgement of worth… And many today have ascribed worth to all sorts of things and people, thereby worshipping them… Many of our young people worship star athletes,,, our Baby boomers worship their jobs and possessions,,, some children worship their mothers and fathers,,, and some parents worship their children… But throughout scripture, God alone is worshipped for two reasons: His perfection (who He is) and for His ways (what He has done).
And can I tell you, it is even possible for Christians to loosely apply the term worship in our Christian Circles… So, it is important for us to keep worship focused on the object of our true love who is the Triune God--- Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
So, whenever we worship, let our songs and praise be all about God,,, for Who He is and What He has done… Why..? Because “God alone is Worthy” to be praised.
Enjoy your worship today, and know that you are much loved… Always in our prayers, Pastor and Sister Jourdan.
