Some battles aren’t won by doing more. They’re fought first on our knees.

Before we face what’s in front of us, we need to remember where our strength comes from. Prayer isn’t the last resort of faith. It should be one of our first responses.

Want to do something great? Start by being faithful with something small.

David did not begin with a throne. He began in a field, tending sheep and faithfully doing what was in front of him. Those small acts of obedience became part of the preparation for what God would later entrust to him.

Don’t despise the small things. Keep showing up. Keep obeying. Keep being faithful. You may not see where God is leading yet, but He can use what you are doing today to prepare you for what comes next.

Before you ask where you stand with everyone else, ask the bigger question: Where do you stand with God?
