1. 𝐋𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐀𝐘 is Monday, September 7th. The parish office will be closed. We will have the usual morning Eucharistic adoration and 9am Mass. However, there will be NO evening confessions, adoration, and night prayer.

2. 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄 - There will be a blood drive on Wednesday, September 9th in the Church Meeting Room from 3:00pm to 7:30pm. The need is always great, so please consider donating.

3. 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 will begin on Monday, September 14th.

4. 𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀 (𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬) 𝐒𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 - for those adults who wish to become Catholic or for those who wish to receive First Holy Communion and Confirmation will begin on September 22nd. Please register at the Parish Office.

5. 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 is a transformative journey designed to meet the deepest longings of the feminine heart. Our program is a sanctuary for women seeking to be truly seen, known, and loved, as they grow in their relationship with the Lord. Through vibrant conversations, authentic speakers, and enriching prayer experiences, we equip you with the tools to embark on a profound spiritual journey. Join us for food, fellowship, and faith. Starting Wednesday, September 16th, 2026 and meeting weekly to November 11, 2026 at 6:30 pm at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church in the Meeting Room. All women are welcome! I am happy to have with us Bishop Gabriel Mendy, the Bishop of the Diocese of Banjul, The Gambia, West Africa. Bishop Gabriel visited us last summer, and he is here for a vacation and also to make appeals for his diocese in The Gambia. He has already visited two parishes the past two weekends, and now will speak to us at St. Kateri this weekend.
This Sunday he will speak at all Masses on behalf of his local Church and its missionary work. The Diocese of Banjul is the only Catholic diocese in The Gambia, a predominantly Muslim nation. Since becoming the first native Gambian bishop in 2017, Bishop Gabriel has worked to strengthen and expand the Church's presence by building new churches, supporting Catholic schools, forming seminarians and catechists, and providing pastoral care to communities spread across the country.
Today, the Diocese serves 20 parishes, 80 mission stations, dozens of Catholic schools, three medical clinics, and a growing number of seminarians and religious vocations. Despite this encouraging growth, the Diocese faces significant financial challenges in meeting the pastoral, educational, and charitable needs of its people.
A second collection will be taken to support the mission of the Diocese of Banjul. Your generosity will help provide new churches, Catholic education, the formation of priests and catechists, transportation for pastoral ministry, and other essential ministries that strengthen the Church in The Gambia. If you write a check please make the check payable to St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, with the words "Mission Appeal 2026" in the memo line.
I have known Bishop Gabriel for 20 years (we met on Staten Island when he was Fr. Gabriel) and I am honored to have him with us. Please prayerfully consider supporting this important missionary appeal with your prayers and your generosity.

FIRST FRIDAY EUCHARISTIC ADORATION at St. Denis this Friday, September 4th, following the 9:00am Mass, with Divine Mercy devotions at 3:00pm, evening prayer at 4:30pm followed by benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
