Welcome to the LaGrange, Georgia Seventh-day Adventist Church family Juanita. February 1, 2025 was a day of joy in heaven as well as in LaGrange. Juanita Burkes testified of her faith in Jesus through baptism. Juanita had completed a 26 lesson study series with Our Bible Worker, Uche Mekowulu and a review of Bible and Church teachings with retired pastor Wayne Nazarenus Prior to her baptism. Juanita is happy to now be a member of the LaGrange congregation. God bless you Juanita.

It was a “Bitter/Sweet” Sabbath at the LaGrange, Georgia Seventh-Day Adventist Church on February 1, 2025. Bernie and Vina Osborn were recognized for their 30 years of service at the Church. Vina served as Church Treasurer for a number of years, she taught music lessons, helped with children’s programs and helped in many other ways. Bernie served as an Elder for many years. He also used his talents as a Lock Smith to re-key the church when needed.
A special appreciation plaque was presented to them along with a bouquet of flowers.

The sad part is that the Osborn’s will be moving away soon to live near their daughter. They will certainly be missed by the LaGrange Church congregation. We wish them God’s Blessings as they make this challenging transition.

This last Sabbath (12/07/2024) at the LaGrange, Georgia Seveth-day Adventist Church there was another Bible School Graduation of 3 people who completed 26 Bible lessons under the guidance of Uche Mekowulu, the part time Bible Worker for the LaGrange SDA Church. The graduates were: Sharon Brown, her granddaughter Zudoria Ezzard, and Juanita Burke.
CONGRATULATIONS for completing your Bible study Course. God bless each of you.

WELCOME AND INSTALLATION OF OUR NEW PASTOR: On November 2, The Carrollton and LaGrange Sevennth-day Adventist Churches welcomed Pastor Jorge L. Baez DMin, his wife Angie and children George and Ashley, to be our district Pastoral Team. He and his wife have recently returned from serving as the International Staff Chaplain for NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Power in Belgum, Europe. He comes with a rich experience of Pastoral, as well as Chaplaincy ministry in the United States and in the Carribean countries of the Dominican Republic, Jamacia and Puerto Rica. He is bi-lingual, and before leaving for his assignment with NATO, he spent 4+ years as the Morristown, TN Hispanic district pastor in the Georgia-Cumberland Conference. He was installed as our new district Minister by Elder Neil Reid from the Georgia-Cumberland Conference . WELCOME PASTOR JORGE L BAEZ. The entire morning service was live streamed to the Carrollton SDA Church campus as well.

This last Sabbath at the LaGrange, Georgia Seveth-day Adventist Church there were to many special events to include in one post. So first, I’ll post the Bible School Graduation of 5 people who completed 26 Bible lessons under the guidance of Uche Mekowulu, the part time Bible Worker for the LaGrange SDA Church. The graduates were: Robert and Carol Wolfe, Brenda Holloway, Carl and Patricia Cowan.
In another post, I will share photos of the baptism of three of those graduates.

Today begins a new pastoral assignment as the interim pastor of the Carrollton and LaGrange, GA Seventh-Day Adventist Churches. We served these two congregations as an interim pastor two years ago, and we know and love them. We look forward to working with them again during the next few months. Please keep us in your prayers that we will provide Godly leadership.
