The Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows was founded by Bl. Elisabetta Renzi in Italy. http://www.ols.org

The Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows, a living part of the Church, has received from God, through the Foundress Elisabetta Renzi, the "gift" of witnessing in the world to the enduring presence of the preferential love of Christ for the young, the poor, the weak, and the needy.

Biological mothers, spiritual mothers, god mothers, foster mothers, and adoptive mothers are the backbone of the domestic church.

Today, we celebrate not only Good Shepherd Sunday, but also the 63rd World Day of Prayer for Vocations.

Let us continue to pray for all those discerning their vocation, that they may see their call as a gift and have the courage to give their “yes” to the Lord with joy!

On Friday, Sister Sheuly renewed her vows in the presence of our delegate Sister Annamaria and the Lafayette community, along with the students of Holy Family School who joined in thanksgiving.
We give thanks to God for her vocation.
