Fields of Grace Weekly Announcements

1) Sunday, May 31, 9:30 a.m., worship service with Pastor Dennis Frank leading the service, FLC; FOG Parish Inaugural Cash Raffle drawing and Linger Longer potluck to follow. (A few raffle tickets might still be available; contact a FOG council member to check)

2) Sunday, June 7, 9:30 a.m., communion service, FLC; fellowship to follow.

3) Pastor Bruce will be out of town Saturday, May 30 and Sunday. May 31. Pastor Bob Miner will be available for pastoral concerns. He can be reached at 320-296-1800.

4) The funeral service for Jason Gronewold, Sr., will be Sunday, May 31 at 5:00 p.m. at the South Chapel of Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, with visitation from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the South Chapel. Jason is the son of Wendy Woller and father of Apple, Jason, Jr., and Lola Gronewold.

5) Through August. there is only ONE service each Sunday, rotating between churches, with some schedule adjustments. Be sure to watch these announcements, the newsletter, and the church bulletins for service locations.

6) The Bernadotte ice cream social will be Wednesday, June 3, in the church park. Serving will be from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. The Lafayette Band will play from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. A bake sale of homemade goodies will also be held.

7) First Lutheran WELCA will host the July 10 Friday night social at the Lafayette Community Center and the FOG Youth will serve the Friday night social the next week, Friday, July 17.

Fields of Grace Weekly Announcements

1) Sunday, May 24, 9:30 a.m., worship service, BLC; fellowship to follow.

2) Sunday, May 31, 9:30 a.m., worship service, FLC; FOG Parish Inaugural Cash Raffle drawing and Linger Longer potluck to follow.

3) A few tickets are still available for the Fields of Grace Parish Inaugural Cash Raffle. Tickets are $20 each. There will be 10 cash prizes ($2,000 down to $100). Drawing will be Sunday, May 31 after the 9:30 a.m. service at First Lutheran. If interested in tickets, contact a FOG council member..

4) First Lutheran WELCA is doing a fundraising match. The ladies will match, up to $10,000, money given to the church that is not part of members’ regular offering. Please mark special gifts as “WELCA Match” and write a separate check, if possible.

First Lutheran Church honored its graduating seniors before and during morning worship Sunday. The church ladies served a breakfast for them and their families and presented tied blankets during the service. Getting their blankeets were Tate Isaacson, Zelle Kamm, and Zoe Uhde. Senior Benjamin Friedrichs was unable to attend as his graduation was today at Sibley East. Ben got his blanket later in the day. The grads were "wrapped in First Lutheran's warmth" in their new blankets.

Fields of Grace Weekly Announcements

1) Sunday, May 17, 8:30-9:15 a.m., graduation recognition breakfast, FLC; 9:30 a.m., graduation recognition service, FLC.

2) Sunday, May 24, 9:30 a.m., worship service, BLC; fellowship to follow.

3) The FOG Choir will sing at the recognition of high school seniors at FLC Sunday, May 17. Practice will be at 8:55 a.m. at First.

4) Tickets are available for the Fields of Grace Parish Inaugural Cash Raffle. Tickets are $20 each with 500 to be sold. There will be 10 cash prizes ($2,000 down to $100). Drawing will be held Sunday, Mary 31 after the 9:30 a.m. service at First Lutheran. Winners need not be present. Purchasers must be 18 to participate. If interested in purchasing tickets, contact a FOG council member. If you’re interested in selling tickets, contact Sandy Burger or Jacob Sjostrom. A “Linger Longer” potluck dinner will follow the drawing.

It was high school graduation recognition day at Bernadotte Lutheran Sunday. Soon-to-be graduates John Sondag and Tracker Clemon were recognized during the service and at fellowship afterwards. Each received a quilt made by the Bernadotte quilting ladies. Thank you to Rosanne for taking photos as I was busy taking photos at a confirmation in Nicollet.

It was flower pickup day for Blooming in Bernadotte Saturday. Trish and Elias (and one of his boys) were there when I stopped by after a lot of the flowers had already been picked up. Nice looking flower baskets from Hacker's Nursery.
