Matthew 16:24—“Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me”

This means turning away from sin and selfishness and choosing God's will over our own when the two conflict. We are called to put Christ at the center of our lives instead of our own desires, pride, or comfort.

“Jesus, my life belongs to You. Help me to let go of selfishness, carry whatever cross comes my way with faith, and follow You.”
