Church family, please join us in lifting up Striker Bates and his entire crew as they have just been deployed for storm response work!

Lineworkers step into dangerous situations when others are taking shelter, working long hours high off the ground, often on live wires and in hazardous post-storm conditions.

Let’s surround Striker, his crew, and all the brave linemen and disaster recovery teams with our prayers:

🥽 Safety & Protection: Lord, place a shield of protection around them as they handle high-voltage lines and hazardous debris.

👀 Focus & Wisdom: Grant them clear minds, sharp awareness, and steady hands throughout these long hours.

🕊️ Peace & Endurance: Give strength to their bodies and peace to their families waiting back home.

"The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore." — Psalm 121:7-8

Drop an "Amen" or leave a prayer for Striker and all our storm heroes in the comments below! 👇❤️

An Update on Our Children’s Ministry at LaFayette First! 🌟

As our church family navigates a season of leadership transition in our Children’s Ministry, our primary goal as a leadership team is to ensure our programming remains strong, steady, and full of momentum. We want to give our leadership team the space and margin to evaluate our long-term ministry needs thoughtfully, while ensuring our kids, parents, and volunteers are loved and supported every step of the way.

With that in mind, we are thrilled to announce that Allison Souther has stepped into the role of Interim Children’s Ministry Director!

While many of you may know Allison from around church, our leadership team has had the privilege of getting to know her deep, genuine heart for children, her passion for seeing young hearts grow in Christ, and her desire to encourage families.

In this interim role, Allison will lead our weekly children’s programming, manage Sunday morning operations, and serve as a champion for our volunteer teams.

Please join us in praying for Allison as she steps into this season! Make sure to introduce yourself, give her a big high-five, and offer a word of encouragement when you see her this Sunday. 💛👇 Drop a comment below to welcome her!

Your spiritual gifts aren't optional—they're essential. Just like a severed finger loses its power, an isolated Christian disconnected from serving loses purpose. The body of Christ needs YOU to function at full health. What's your part in God's symphony?
