Good Friday.

“Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit.”
Luke 23:46 (CSB)

Today we pause, remember, and reflect on His sacrifice. What a gift it is to fix our eyes on Jesus.

Our instinct when we are met with offense is to respond with offense. In Matthew 5:33-42, Jesus calls us to something radically different. Instead of retaliation, He invites us to respond with love, patience, and humility.

This looks like choosing forgiveness over bitterness, honoring others instead of insisting on our own way, and practicing generosity. The God of the universe humbled Himself before us, so we are called to humble ourselves before others.

May we be a people of integrity and peace, refusing to fight sin with sin and choosing the way of Christ.

We are back to two services this Sunday, January 11th, at 8:45am and 10:45am. See you then!

Salt Company Conference 2026 recap 🤍
450 students gathered to praise our Savior and fix our eyes on Jesus.
Three days of worship, teaching, and an endless focus on who He is and who we are in Him.
On Sunday, Jordan walked them through 1 Peter 2:9 with this powerful reminder: if you know who you are, you’ll know what to do. We are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His possession, so that we may declare His praises.
Thankful for the Lord who made this weekend possible, who gave strength, wisdom, and inspiration to every leader and organizer. To Him be all the glory, honor, and praise! Amen.

This week we resumed our Sermon on the Mount series, focusing on Jesus’ teaching on marriage and divorce in Matthew 5 and continuing in Matthew 19. These words may confront us, but they are meant to lead us toward healing. Jesus speaks hard truths because He is deeply committed to our joy and our restoration.

Scripture reminds us that marriage is a covenant meant to reflect Christ’s love for the Church. Divorce was never God’s desire, but a response to the brokenness of human hearts and a provision meant to protect the vulnerable. We are called to pursue reconciliation where possible and to endure and love our spouse as Jesus endured and loved us, forgiving as Christ has forgiven us.

As a reminder! You can follow along with the series using the Sermon on the Mount devotional, available on the Chapel website, with new reflections each week.
