Healing For The Abused Woman Ministries, Inc., DBA Abused Woman Ministries, Inc., was founded by Dr. Dorothy E. Hooks to provide support through an educational series called “Abused Woman Recovery” to help abused and battered women of domestic violence. is a separate entity of The Lula McGrady Foundation, Inc. (TLMF) which is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization; Dr. Hooks founded this organization

in June 2007. The mission of TLMF is to alleviate the pain and suffering associated with domestic violence and being homeless; subsequently, “to build life to better the hurting and hopeless.”

Our reason for existence is to help people get set free from bo***ges that will hinder them from having a productive life; especially, the bo***ge of domestic violence for women and their children – this is our main focal group. This will be accomplished through the training from the “Abused Woman Ministries’ Inc. School of Healing,” which includes an 8 to 12-week (can be longer) Christian based educational program, “Tools for Triumphant Living.” This program was developed by Charlana Kelly, Founder of Christian Women’s Coalition of Ocala, FL.

Here's a Bible passage I'd like to share with you: Isaiah 43:1-7 ESV

“But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life. Tonight, give yourself permission to stop replaying every mistake.

The enemy loves to keep people trapped in regret.
Replaying what they should have said.
What they should have done.
How they should have handled it differently.

But God is not standing over your life waiting to remind you of every failure.

He’s a Father.
Full of mercy.
Full of grace.
Full of second chances.

And if God woke you up this morning and carried you through today, then your story is not over yet.

There is still purpose ahead of you.
Still joy ahead of you.
Still healing ahead of you.

So let the guilt go tonight.

God’s grace is bigger than your worst moment.
