Instituting the Solemnity of Divine Mercy

The Diary of Saint Faustina calls us to a new form of devotion in various ways. The second way is through the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday. Jesus told Saint Faustina that He desired an annual solemn Feast of Mercy. This Solemnity of Divine Mercy was established as a universal celebration on the Eighth day of the Octave of Easter. On that day the floodgates of Mercy are opened and many souls are made holy. Plan on making this solemn feast a day of great celebration this coming year. Begin, today, looking forward to this culminating Feast of Mercy! Reflect upon the fact that the mere institution of such a solemn feast is a powerful sign of the desire in the Heart of God to pour down His Mercy upon us.

🌟 SECOND SUNDAY OF ADVENT 2025 WITH ST. FAUSTINA (YEAR A) 🌟

📖 GOSPEL: Mt 3:1–12

📘 DIARY: 1577, 971:

- Jesus: “Tell souls not to place any barrier in their own hearts to My mercy, which so greatly desires to work in them. My mercy works in all hearts that open their doors to it; both the sinner and the righteous need My mercy. Conversion and perseverance are graces of My mercy.”

- Sr. Faustina: “I feel fully that I live for souls, to bring them to Your mercy, O Lord; in this regard no sacrifice is too small.” 😇✝️

🕯️ REFLECTION:

God’s Mercy works in all hearts that open their doors to Him. Am I aware of how deeply, at every moment, I need Divine Mercy? Do I open my heart to Him?

🙏 PRAYER:

Merciful Jesus, we thank You for Your loving care for our salvation. We praise You for allowing us once again to prepare our hearts for Your Nativity.
Mary, we entrust our hearts to you; shape them yourself so that they may become a pleasing dwelling place for your Son. 💜 Amen 🙏

📖 GOSPEL: Matthew 24: 37–44

📘 DIARY: 854, 1589, 1398

Jesus: - "My daughter, be watchful, for I shall come unexpectedly."

Sr. Faustina: - "I do not know, O Lord, at what hour You will come; and so I watch continually and listen intently, as Your chosen bride, for I know You like to come unnoticed. Yet a pure heart will sense You, Lord, from afar. (...)
Advent is approaching; I desire to prepare my heart for the coming of the Lord Jesus through silence and recollection of spirit, uniting myself with the Most Holy Mother and faithfully imitating Her virtue of silence, through which She found favor in the eyes of God Himself.
I trust that at Her side I shall persevere in this resolution." 😇🙏🩵

I will ask for the grace of a vigilant heart, so that at every moment I may be ready for the most important encounter of my life. 💜Amen 🙏

What do you see in the photos? The Nights of Columbus volunteering? I don't. I see Jesus Christ's Divine Mercy pouring into them, making them images of Jesus himself. So proud to be Knight.

Nothing Beyond Your Strength
It’s important to know that the Lord will never allow you to carry a cross that is beyond your strength. Do you believe this? If you do, it should help you to set your eyes on the road ahead and plunge forward doing the Will of God. If struggles come your way, even if they are great, know with certainty that the Lord is with you, carrying you if needed, through everything you face in life. Nothing can keep you from His Mercy and His perfect Will if you keep your eyes on Him. Reflect upon the path that you believe the Lord has set before you. What obstacles do you perceive to be too great to overcome? Whatever it is, you must face them with confidence and absolute trust in our Lord. As painful as some things may be, nothing is beyond the Mercy of God. He will transform the rough path before you into a smooth road if you let Him.

Together with all the Saints, let us praise God for the gift of the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy and pray for the renewal of its charism in every sister and in all who belong to the "Faustinum" Association, so that the truth of God’s merciful love may reach every person! 🙏❤️🤍
