When life starts shaking, what do you do?

Join us this morning as we continue our series "Real God for Real Problems" with Psalm 16 - where David discovers that an unshakable life is built on one solid foundation: the unyielding presence of God. Learn how to run after God, recognize what you're truly running after, and rest confidently in His presence. Only on this rock-solid foundation are we truly unshakable.

Are you in a season of waiting? This Sunday, we dove into Psalm 62 to look at a real God who meets our real problems—specifically, the problem of waiting. Here are 10 powerful takeaways from the message:

1. Worship doesn't stop when the sermon starts. Coming around God’s Word is a seamless continuation of our worship of Him.

2. We live in a culture of urgency. We are constantly in a hurry to be somewhere else, making the act of waiting incredibly difficult for our souls.

3. Waiting on God isn't unoccupied time. Just because we don't see what's happening behind the scenes doesn't mean God isn't actively working.

4. It’s about who you become. Waiting on God is not only about what you get at the end of the wait, but what you become while you wait.

5. "Selah" is a divine exclamation point. It’s a biblical prompt forcing us to slow down, catch our breath, and reflect deeply on God's truth.

6. We need to silence our souls. Our world is a firehose of information and sensationalism. Our souls desperately need quiet, meditative contemplation before the Lord.

7. Your most influential voice is your own. We must practice intentional "self-talk" like David did in Psalm 62, preaching God's truth to our own restless souls.

8. Our ultimate hope is worth the wait. As believers, we are like battle-weary soldiers waiting for a flight home. We wait eagerly for the day Jesus returns to make all things whole.

9. People and money are fragile objects for trust. Human resources and worldly systems will eventually snap under pressure. Only God is an unbreakable rope.

10. God is both infinitely powerful and unfailingly loving. Because He holds both attributes, He has the power to do anything, but will only do what is ultimately best for you.

Do you like waiting?

What a beautiful morning! 🌸 Our ladies gathered for the Blooming Faith Paint Event — inspired by Luke 12:27, "Consider the Lilies." There was great food, great conversation, and more than a few laughs as everyone discovered their inner artist. So grateful for this community of women. 🎨

Women gathered for a spring morning of painting, fellowship, and encouragement rooted in Luke 12:27 — "Consider the Lilies."

TEN TAKEWAYS:

Ever feel like your day was derailed before breakfast? ☕️
We’ve all had those mornings where it feels like everything is spiraling. But what do we do when a bad day turns into a long, difficult season? In this weekend's message, we looked at Psalm 34 to see how King David handled his biggest troubles.
Here are 10 powerful takeaways we learned:

1. The 8:36 AM Rule: According to surveys, the average person knows their day will be bad by 8:36 AM. Mornings are critical in setting our daily tone!
2. Days vs. Seasons: A bad day is a temporary disruption, but "troubles" are cumulative trials that pile up.
3. Praise is a Choice: Psalm 34:1 says, "I will extol the Lord at all times." It doesn't say "only when things go well." Praise is a daily decision, not a feeling.
4. No Self-Made Monsters: Like author Alex Haley said, "If you see a turtle on a fence post, you know it had some help getting there." We have nothing we didn't receive from God.
5. Fear is Normal, but Don't Get Stuck: Being afraid is a natural human reaction to trouble, but God doesn't want fear to rule our lives.
6. "Taste and See": Knowing the menu isn't the same as eating the food. To know God's goodness, you have to personally experience and trust Him.
7. The Two Words of Holy Fear: True fear of the Lord boils down to two words: Woe (realizing our smallness before a holy God) and Wow (marveling at His grace and power).
8. The Monitor is Always On: Just like parents use baby monitors to see and hear their kids, God never shuts off His monitor. He is always attentive to our cries.
9. Desperation Drives Real Prayer: Fear can be a catalyst that drives us away from polite, religious prayers and into raw, honest cries for help.
10. Our God is Bigger Than "Bubba": We don't have to live in hiding or anxiety. The God who secures our salvation is always standing right behind us.

When bad days turn into prolonged seasons of trouble, Psalm 34 offers a radical remedy: replacing destructive fears with a big God.

A woman tried to burn toilet paper out of her tree and lost her entire house. Talk about a solution being far worse than the problem! 🔥 🏠

Ever reacted in anger or handled conflict with too much force, only to make things worse? We've all been there. But here is the beautiful truth of the gospel: you are never stuck, and you always have a choice. "That's just the way I am" is a lie. Through God's grace, real, lasting transformation is entirely possible.

What's the biggest thing troubling you right now?

Join us this morning as we continue our series "Real God for Real Problems" with Psalm 34 - written by David in a cave after pretending to be insane to escape his enemies. This psalm teaches us how to deal with our troubles: recognize destructive fear, remember the God who is bigger than your situation, and replace fear with a healthy fear of the Lord. When we fear the Lord more than we fear our fears, we'll trust the Lord more than we trust ourselves.
