Subscribe to our newsletter on our homepage for weekly service info. https://northshoreuu.org/ Join us on this extraordinary adventure of faith! The North Shore Unitarian Universalists fosters liberal religious living through worship, study, service, and fellowship. Our congregation is a member of the Unitarian Universalists Association of Congregations (UUA) nationally and the Greater New Orleans

Unitarian Universalists (GNOUU) locally. For the most up to date information on our Sunday services, please subscribe to our weekly e-newsletter via the "UU Update" link on our homepage (http://northshoreuu.org/). Our UU Update is sent out on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Our congregation is located on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain about 30 miles north of New Orleans. North Shore UU serves all of St. Tammany Parish and portions of the parishes and counties to the north, east, and west, including some areas of Mississippi. Convenient Access
28662 Krentel Road is less than a mile northwest of the intersection of Interstate 12 and Highway 434 (exit 74), in Lacombe, midway between Covington and Slidell. We have ample off street parking and wheelchair accessibility. Our Open Sanctuary
Our sanctuary is a low contemporary building that harmonizes with its natural surroundings. The open interior allows it to be configured easily to accommodate church services, weddings, art shows, large meetings, and other special events. The floor-to-ceiling windows at the sides and the back bring the beauty of the outdoors into our visual experience. Gardens and Labyrinth
Our Feng Shui Garden includes pave stone walkways, a labyrinth, and a children's play area. Our children use the garden for outdoor religious education programs. Our church members use the garden for a variety of special occasions. Our labyrinth is available to all for walking mediation, reflection, and spiritual enlightenment. Challenged communities continue to need assistance in uncertain times.

A community of 15 families in our parish has been adopted long-term and could use the following items: non-perishable foods, especially dry, uncooked black beans, white rice, canned fruit and vegetables, masa harina, canola, or vegetable oil, broth.

Also very appreciated are DIAPERS: sizes four, five, and seven as well as diaper wipes. Toiletries are needed: shampoo, toothpaste, soap, etc.

Please look 👀 for the light blue Christmas bag under the small round table in the foyer.

Thank you so very very much!

“Come One, Come All!” Our quarterly “Brunch & Banter” service is on Sunday, May 31st. Bring your favorite dish, (or as they say on ‘Beat Bobby Flay,’ your signature dish) to share with your UU friends and family.

Food and cooking are such a part of our region’s culture, and is a way we show love and care for others. So, please bring a copy of the recipe for your dish, along with a story about it and what it means to you. It can be a few short sentences or a paragraph.

This will be the final push to get more recipes for the new edition of our NSUU cookbook, which is planned to be completed over the summer and ready next fall. So, don’t be shy, bring your best, and share the love on Sunday, May 31st!

⚠️This service will NOT be livestreamed.⚠️ Come see us in person!

Memorial Day invites us into remembrance. It is a time to honor military service, reflect on sacrifice, and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. Through personal reflections, poetry, history, and ritual, we will explore the lasting impact military service has on service members, families, friends, and our broader community. Please join us as we hold space for gratitude, remembrance, grief, and hope.

This Sunday we celebrate our annual Flower Communion, a Unitarian Universalist ritual honoring the beauty of community and the uniqueness each person brings.
Everyone is invited to bring a flower—a symbol of your own individuality—to add to our shared bouquet. During the service, we will each take home a different flower, a reminder of how we are enriched by one another.
This tradition, first created in 1923 by Czech Unitarian minister Norbert Čapek, has become a beloved UU practice symbolizing diversity, connection, and the strength we find in community.
