NSUUS Religious Exploration

NSUUS Religious Exploration Our church fosters liberal religious living through worship, education, service, and fellowship. These are:

1. Each person is important
2.

Our Religious Exploration classes for children and youth meet Sundays during our worship service at 11 AM. Welcome to Religious Exploration at North Shore Unitarian Universalist Church! The Religious Exploration Program of our church is an exciting, warm and wonderful place where you and your child will have experiences you may have never thought you could have in church. Our Unitarian Universalis

t religion is a process, more than a statement; a journey more than a destination. It is how we live – all the time – rather than a thing we do on Sunday mornings or a set of beliefs we can recite. All of our lessons and activities find their roots in the children's version of the seven UU principles. Be kind in all you do
3. We’re free to learn together
4. We search for what is true
5. All people need a voice
6. Build a fair and peaceful world
7. We care for Earth’s lifeboat. If you're interested in learning more about our RE program for your child, please contact our Director of Religious Exploration, Jessa Barthels,
at [email protected]. We currently have two classes that meet each Sunday during our worship service. Our Sparklers class is for ages 5-9 and our Spirits class is for ages 10-12.

What’s on the agenda for RE this year? These kids want to talk about confidence, healing, resilience, trust, possibility, mystery and joy. They want to make more artwork, move around more, work together, and play. They definitely want more escape rooms, scavenger hunts, bonfire parties, hangouts and meetups - and snacks!!

Please email Jessa at dre.nsuus@gmail to be added to parent email updates or to volunteer to help in the classroom.

It’s going to be the best year!
