June is devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

A devotion that keeps love and mercy in the forefront of our minds.

Ways to enter into this devotion with the Church this month:

- Entrust your day to the Sacred Heart with starting your morning in prayer
- Celebrate the feast day with mass and adoration. The feast day is June 12th
- Participate in the first Friday tradition of attending mass on the first Friday of every month

May the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus cover us in His love as we move throughout our day. Amen.

The Visitation reminds us that God often moves through simple yeses, quiet obedience, and everyday encounters.

Sometimes the holiest thing we can do is show up for someone, carry Christ into a room, and let joy leap where there has been waiting.

Feeling called to slow down and bring faith into the everyday? Here are three resources we’re loving right now:

- Hallow app (Rosary): a simple way to pray along, even on busy days.
- Catholic Family Crate (Mary Dresses Magnet Playset): a sweet, hands-on devotion for little hands.
- Shining Light Dolls (Our Lady of Fatima plush): a comforting reminder of Mary’s presence.

Save this for later and share with a friend who might love these.

Pentecost is not only a moment in the Church calendar. It is an ongoing invitation to let the Holy Spirit shape how we think, speak, and love. This guide offers practical, everyday ways to live with the fire, courage, and closeness to God that Pentecost reveals.

Let the “fire” refine, not just inspire

Pentecost fire is not hype. It is holy purification and passion directed by love.

- Notice what cools your love: resentment, distraction, comparison, cynicism.
- Practice one small act of “refining” each day

Live the fruits before you chase the gifts

The Spirit’s gifts are powerful, but the Spirit’s fruit is the evidence of maturity.

- Ask: “Is this making me more loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle, and self-controlled?”
- If a spiritual practice makes you harsh, anxious, or superior, pause and re-center on love.

Pentecost is the day we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church. In Acts 2, the disciples are gathered in prayer when the Spirit comes like a rushing wind and tongues of fire, filling them with courage to speak and to love beyond fear.

Today is an invitation to make room for that same Spirit in our lives.

- Wind reminds us that God is moving, even when we cannot see it.
- Fire purifies and ignites what is holy in us.
- Many languages show that the Gospel is for every person, every culture, every story.

If you are feeling tired, stuck, or uncertain, Pentecost says you are not alone. The Spirit strengthens what is weak, comforts what is heavy, and empowers ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

St. Louis de Montfort said, "We never give more honor to Jesus than when we honor his Mother, and we honor her simply and solely to honor him all the more perfectly"

Sometimes we try to prove our love for God by working harder, knowing more, or saying the right things. But this quote reminds me that devotion is not a competition. It is a relationship.

Honoring Mary is not a detour from Jesus. It is a way of letting our hearts be trained in humility, tenderness, and trust. She always points beyond herself, quietly making room for Christ to be formed in us.

The Rosary is a simple, powerful way to slow down and return to the heart of the Gospel. With each bead, we pray with Mary as she points us to Jesus, teaching us how to ponder God’s love, hold on to hope, and stay faithful in everyday life.

At its core, the Rosary is not about rushing through prayers. It is about meditation. As we move through the mysteries, we place ourselves in the scenes of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. We ask the Holy Spirit to shape our thoughts and actions so that our lives begin to reflect what we contemplate.

Honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Rosary is also an act of trust. Mary is not the destination. She is the Mother who leads us to her Son. When we say, “Hail Mary,” we echo the words of Scripture and ask for her prayers, believing that God listens to the humble and the faithful.

Creating a home that welcomes life starts long before the nursery is set up. It begins in the heart, in the way we make space for God, and then for others. In a culture that often treats life as an inconvenience, a Catholic home can quietly become a witness that every person is a gift.

Mary, the Blessed Virgin, shows us what this looks like. Her life was not “ideal” by human standards, but it was radically open to God, and because of that, it became a dwelling place for Life Himself.

Today we honor St. Dymphna, a young Irish saint known as a patron of those who struggle with anxiety, depression, addiction, and mental illness.

Her story reminds us that:

- Your mind and heart matter. Seeking help is an act of courage.
- You are not alone. There is real hope in community, prayer, and support.
- Gentleness is strength. Healing often happens one small step at a time.

If you are carrying something heavy, let today be a reminder to reach out to someone you trust and to receive the care you deserve.

St. Dymphna, pray for us.

Ascension Thursday marks the day Christians remember Jesus’ Ascension, 40 days after Easter. It’s a moment of hope and perspective: Christ returns to the Father, and we’re reminded that our faith is meant to lift our hearts beyond the everyday.

It is also the start of the original novena that the apostles and Mary prayed while they waited for the Holy Spirit. Consider praying a novena to the Holy Spirit beginning today.

Many diocese now celebrate the Ascension on Sunday, which is why if you attend mass today, you may not get the Ascension readings.
