MASJID ALHUDA UPDATE:
Asalamu Alaikum, after many of our great community member's request to start providing more frequence updates using a different media the board has decided to start providing Masjid updates and general communication on a more frequent basis via Whatsapp and Facebook.
تحديث مسجد الهدى:
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
بعد التكرار والإلحاح والطلب المصر من بعض عقال مجتمعنا من إدارة المسجد في البدء بمشاركة الجميع بالتحديثات عن جاليتنا من خلال الإعلام. وبناءً على ذلك قررت إدارة المسجد بإعطاء كل ماهو جديد باستخدام مواقع التواصل الإجتماعي كالوتساب والفيسبوك.
Masjid Parking Lot Project: We continue to work with the city to get approval on paving the parking lot. The city has made many stipulations in order for us to start the project. One of these stipulations is to have 20% of the parking lot with green space. We've made many attempts to try to forgo this requirement since it'll take up to 12-15 parking spaces. We have had multiple meetings with officials. There were 2 meetings w/ the Planning Board and then the Zoning Board for a variance on this requirement. We were denied this variance and are still trying to work w/ the City to see if there any other options.
موقف السيارات: نحن نواصل العمل مع الحكومه المحليه للحصول على الموافقة لمشروع موقف السيارات الجديد. وقد وضعت الحكومه المحليه العديد من الشروط حتى يتسنى لنا البدء في المشروع. وأحد هذه الشروط هو أن تكون 20٪ من موقف السيارات مساحه خخضراء. ولقد بذلنا العديد من المحاولات لمحاولة التخلي عن هذا الشرط لأنه سيأخذ ما يقارب 12-15 موقف من مواقف السيارات. وقد عقدنا اجتماعات متعددة مع المسؤولين ، وكان هناك اجتماعان مع مجلس التخطيط ومن ثم مجلس التقسيم لتحديد التباين في هذا الشرط. ولقد قوبلنا بالرفض لهذا التباين وما زلنا نحاول العمل مع الحكومه المحليه لمعرفة ما إذا كانت هناك أي خيارات أخرى.
Abbott Masjid: As many of you know we have been fighting the city for many years now to try to establish a masjid in that building. Despite many attempts with working w/ the city they continue to push us back for establishing the masjid. We have been working w/ attorneys (from different firms) for almost 3 years now and have set up meetings w/ the city and even with higher level officials of the government to try to help resolve this problem. Despite all of these efforts the city continues to ignore our requests and have no official communication as to why they are denying us a Certificate of Occupancy for Religous use. We are in the process of having a law suit against the city and are working with NY State Attorney General's office as well to help resolve this issue.
مشروع المسجد الجديد: كما يعلم الكثيرون منكم أننا نتابع الحكومه المحليه منذ سنوات عديدة لمحاولة تأسيس مسجد في ذلك المبنى. وعلى الرغم من المحاولات العديدة التي بذلت للعمل مع الحكومه المحليه، إلا أنها تواصل الرفض التام لإقامة المسجد. ولقد عملنا مع المحامين (من خلال شركات مختلفة) منذ ما يقارب الثلاث سنوات وحتى الآن وقد أنشأنا اجتماعات مع الحكومه المحليه وحتى مع كبار المسؤولين الحكوميين في محاوله للمساعده في حل هذه المشكلة. وعلى الرغم من كل هذه الجهود التي بذلناها والحكومه المحليه لا تزال تتجاهل طلباتنا وليس لديهم أي تواصل رسمي معنا وطرح أسباب عدم إعطائنا شهاده للاستخدام الديني للمبنى ، وبناءً على ذلك نحن بصدد وضع دعوى قضائیة ضد الحكومه المحليه ونعمل مع مکتب النائب العام لولاية نیویورك للمساعدة في حل ھذه القضیة.
Cemetery: We've have had many meetings w/ the council regarding establishing a cemetery for the community. One of the difficulties is related to the ground testing of the land. The other issue is giving us a variance on the size requirement for a cemetery. Current requirement is 20 acres and we have 6.5. Council has promised us this change as long as the land is tested and considered to be clean. This testing is going to cost us between 10-15K. We hope to have this testing in 2018.
أما بانسبه للمقبره : فقد عقدنا العديد من الاجتماعات مع المجلس المحلي بشأن إنشاء مقبرة للمجتمع. وترتبط إحدى الصعوبات في الاختبار الأرضي للأرض. والمسألة الأخرى تعطينا تباينا على متطلبات حجم المقبرة ، فالشرط الحالي هو 20 فدان ونحن لدينا 6.5 فدان. وقد وعدنا المجلس المحلي بهذا التغيير ما دامت الأرض مختبرة واعتبرت نظيفة. وهذا الاختبار سوف يكلفنا ما يقارب 10-15 ألف ونأمل أن يكون هذا الاختبار في عام 2018 إن شاء الله.
Purifying Washroom: This project Alhamdulilah is 95% complete. Once this room is completed we will work w/ a local Mortionist and set up a contract so that we could move the deceased in/out of the masjid. We hope to have this done w/ in the next few months, In Sha Allah.
مغسلة الأموات: هذا المشروع بحمد الله قد تم إنجاز ما يقارب 95٪ وبمجرد الانتهاء منه سوف نعمل مع القبار المحلي وإنشاء عقد حتى نتمكن من نقل المتوفى داخل / خارج المسجد ونأمل أن يكون العمل في هذا المشروع قد تم في الأشهر المقبله إن شا الله.
Expansion of Masjid: We have worked w/ Br. Mohammed Ayub and an Engineer to draw up plans to build a second floor. We are currently in the initial phases of the design and hope to have more information w/ in the upcoming months.

و المهندس المعماري لوضع خطط لبناء الطابق الثاني ، ونحن حالياً في المراحله الأولى من التصميم، ونأمل أن يكون هناك المزيد من المعلومات في الأشهر المقبلة إن شاء الله.
