Our History:
Our group was initially formed in May of 1965 under the direction of Stanko Gjurich and Steve Vranjes, with the first concert being held in November of 1966. So

me of the past members of the group now belong to professional Tambura groups, others are members of various bands, theatrical groups, music teachers, and one past member is the sound engineer for a professional male vocalist. All of which have used their experience they gained from the Tammies to continue on with their successful professional lives. The group consists of children from the ages of 5 to 18 years old. The group has performed for a variety of events throughout our local community, the United States, and Canada. Some examples of these performances include the World University Games, Art Park, Ellis Island Memorial, Niagara Falls convention Center, local charities and our annual concert. Our instructors, and many others, have helped to make St. Stephen Tamburitzans one of the most enduring groups in America.
