⛈️ Community Storm Shelter – Highland Baptist Church ⛈️

With storms expected in our area tonight, Highland Baptist Church wants our community to know that our doors are open. If you need a safe place to ride out the storm, please feel free to come to the church. We would much rather you be safe than try to weather it alone.

We will do our best to provide a place of safety and support for anyone who needs it.

Storms in life don’t just come in the weather. We all face storms—fear, uncertainty, hardship, and struggles we can’t control. While our church building can provide temporary shelter from the weather, we also want you to know about Jesus Christ, who provides shelter and peace through every storm of life.

The Bible reminds us:
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." – Psalm 46:1

If you don’t currently have a church home, we would love for you to come visit with us at Highland Baptist Church. Join us as we worship, study God’s Word, and grow together as a church family.

We will be studying through the book of 1 Corinthians every Sunday evening at 5:30 PM for the next 8 Sundays

The church in Corinth struggled with many of the same issues believers face today—division, pride, cultural pressure, and confusion about spiritual truth. Through Paul’s letter, we’ll discover how God calls His people to live with humility, unity, and a firm foundation in His Word.

Each week will include:
📖 Bible teaching through 1 Corinthians
🎥 Short video teaching
💬 Interactive discussion and application

This study is designed to help us grow deeper in our understanding of God’s Word and how it applies to everyday life.

Whether you’ve studied the Bible for years or are just beginning, everyone is welcome to come learn and grow together.

Arrangements for Ronda Brewster, mother of Kyle Cross

Visitation will be held at Highland Baptist Church on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, officiated by Bro. Freddie Childs. A graveside service will immediately follow.

Following the services, lunch will be provided for the family in the fellowship hall. The church will provide the meat. Members who would like to bring a dish are kindly asked to have it at the church no later than 10:30 AM on Thursday.

Please continue to keep Kyle, Terri and their family in your prayers during this time.
