Meet Al 🥁🎶

What brings Al joy is serving God through music and spending time with his family.

His favorite worship song is “Give Thanks” by Don Moen. This song holds a special place in his heart because it was his baptism song.

His favorite local spot is Pho Lynn in West Olympia. According to Al, it’s the best pho around, and his kids practically grew up there!

A fun fact about Al is that his wife got him into gardening. These days you’ll find him growing roses and vegetables on their property.

Al serves on the worship team because it’s one of the ways he worships God. Using his gifts to serve the church is a meaningful expression of his faith and gratitude for all God has done in his life.

Sunday was such a beautiful day filled with God’s people coming together in community, honor, and remembrance. We’re so thankful for every person who made the day special.

A huge thank you to everyone who pitched in, brought food, helped serve, stayed to clean up, and simply showed up with joyful hearts. It takes all of us.
Can’t wait for more Sundays like this ahead! ☀️

Diane serves in BIGS on River City’s Dream Team. What brings her joy is praying for the lost and seeing them come to Christ.

Her favorite worship song is “Just As Good” by Chris Renzema.

Her favorite local spot is The Mayan on Pacific.
A fun fact about Diane is that she absolutely loves fishing! 🎣

Diane serves because she loves kids, and River City is home. Serving makes her part of the family and family shows up for each other.

Meet AJ:

What brings him joy is his wife and child, and honestly… anything Star Wars.

His favorite worship song is “Cornerstone” by Hillsong Worship.

His favorite local spot is Farrelli’s Pizza specifically the Yelm Highway location in Lacey.

A fun fact about AJ is that he’s the son of a pastor! His dad was ordained when AJ was 20 years old.

AJ serves because what started as “just what you do on Sundays” became something much deeper as he grew in his understanding of Scripture. He loves what 1 Peter 4:10 says about using the gifts God has given us to serve others and show His grace. Being the hands and feet of Jesus has become one of the most rewarding parts of his faith.

Meet Beth…

Beth serves on the River City Dream Team hosting and helping take care of our littles! What brings her joy is watching her kids parent well and spending time with her grandkids. She’s learned that joy shows up when she slows down, stays content, and trusts in the Lord.

Her favorite worship song (right now) is “The Church” by Austin French and “It Is Well With My Soul.”

Her favorite local spot is Gardner’s (for special occasions) and Left Bank Patisserie—where she highly recommends the Kouign Amann.

A fun fact about Beth is that she’s an adventure lover… maybe a little too much 😅 She might lead you into trouble exploring—don’t fully trust her on vacation.

Beth serves because we’re called to serve. She loves giving, building relationships, and being known.
