Today we listen👂to one of Jesus’s parables. It is a good warning! We are often distracted with too many things that do not let us look into the heart ❤️ of our brothers & sisters. We are all children of God, and a good Christian ✝️ must learn to share. 🙏🏻 What one sows in this life is what one takes with him to the afterlife.

Today we are witnesses of a useless question and, at the same time, a profound response. What does it matter to us if there are many or few who are saved? 🧐 Are”statistics “ going to save us? What really matters is to live with works and truth. 😇 And, with effort because “easy love” does not work! 👍🏻

Mass at Christ the King will be tomorrow, Saturday, August 16th at 4:00 PM instead of our regular Sunday mass time. ☀️
On Sunday, August 17th at 1:00 PM will be the Gardner river mass. 💦

Today the Master invites us to clean up our hearts. 💕 What’s in my heart? ❤️ What is my treasure? Is it a treasure with “high expectations “? Or is it kidnapped by “fashions,” “costumes,” fleeting things? If one lives “in disguise,” then his heart ends up beaten and out of play. “Happy are those servants whom the master finds wide-awake when he comes.” For this, Jesus recommends to “gird up the loins” (no disguises!) and “lamps on” (“connected” through prayer).

Today the Church celebrates two great apostles and teachers of the faith. Peter was the “rock” placed as the foundation of the Church; Paul, the voice given to the Gospel in his fight against the Gentiles (the non-Jews). They received a “peculiar” treatment from God. To Simon, Jesus Christ changed his name, and gave him the mission to confirm his brothers in the faith. Saul of Tarsus was chosen while persecuting the Christians: the resurrected Jesus appeared to him about five years after the Ascension.
-Lord, grant me enough strength to continue the building of the Church built on Peter and Paul. 😇
