August Letter
Blessings to each one of you, beloved in Christ Jesus.
As many of you know, Barbara, an essential part of CPI for more than 40 years and about to celebrate 52 years of marriage this coming September 15, has gone to the presence of the Lord. Yet we know, as children of God and beloved servants, that her departure is not the end but the glorious beginning of the eternity our God has prepared for her and for us. Today, grief is part of the process, but God works day by day restoring and raising the altar to continue the mission of CPI and the eternal vision that never dies. The permanent and continuous work of reaching places where God has opened doors, where children, youth, and adults are being touched by the fire of the Word, living and powerful preaching, remains unshaken. At this moment, Chuy is walking alongside Jesse in this process, not only to accompany in the present, but also working and organizing the future of the vision, of the purpose that does not change. Some may have departed physically, but when the heart continues in love, purpose, and vision, nothing changes, because the call is to reach those who need restoration, to return, and to know the Lord in His purposes and plans.
The ministry in Mexico has more than 34 years of history, missions built, lifted, and supported. Perhaps many times not all the photographs exist of every memorable moment of God working, of souls touched, reached, and restored, because it is the Holy Spirit who intervenes and heaven itself confirms every moment. I know that each one of you who is in prayer for the world and for the need of hope feels this in your spirit, and it impacts your spirit.
Today, the times are short, and in this season of change, transformation, and decisions of continuity, of going farther than ever before, we want to affirm to you that the Missions in Mexico are standing strong: in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, with Pastor Socorro Ramos; in Galeana, with Chuy and Karen, by faith and in faith. The work has not changed; we continue believing in the vision, in the provision, and in the souls of children who today are being reached. Yehimi, Jonathan, and David, especially Yehimi, has made the decision to be baptized. Yehimi, daughter of Chuy and Karen, is also serving God alongside her father in teaching. She will soon turn 13 years old, in the name of Jesus.
In Reynosa, the spiritual covering is being consolidated. Even though the team is not large in number, the fire and passion in the heart are greater than any multitude. This week, Chuy will go out into the streets to preach the Word of God, as an ambassador of the Kingdom, just as he did in Colombia in October. God is not limited when He wants to use lives in foreign lands, but always with the reach of His eternal Kingdom. Today, beloved, we write to you from the War Room of the Spirit, without distractions, without doubts, not focusing on what has not yet been done, but believing in new times, times of reach, times of healing, times of salvation, and times of restoration, for all, for the new souls in Christ, for those who already walk with Him, and by faith for those who will be reached sooner or later.
We thank God for His faithfulness through all these years. We also thank each one of you, who have sown with love, peace, joy, and hope, knowing that every seed planted will not be in vain. Every action has been done with discernment and with faith that it will bring more souls to the Kingdom of God.
The photograph of the Bible schools in Mexico, in Galeana, is a memorable reminder that God does not change and that what He brings to the present is a testimony that He is still working and that there are great plans. A great seed that will germinate in its time.
“We also donated a van to the ministry of Centro Cristiano Victoria as an act of righteousness, so that the van we received in Galeana could also be sown in another place, for it is more blessed to give than to receive.
In recent days, Chuy and I traveled to Mexico out of necessity, to visit the missions in the midst of a difficult season. We visited Pastor Jesús Flores and his wife in Mimbres, and although we know that the times in Mexico, especially but also in the world, are difficult, the Word reminds us that we are living in the final, prophetic times. In such days we must remain constant, covered by the blood of Christ, going where others are unwilling to go. They received us with great joy, after a season of personal closeness that was necessary to strengthen. Chuy also visited the church of a new pastor, Jesús Ramos, during Bible schools where we brought some school supplies for more than 100 children present. Although it was not all that was in our hearts, we know the work is permanent, just as the mission itself. We also report that CPI’s documents are in order with the IRS, because God is a God of order; every contribution is legitimate, backed by God and recognized by earthly authorities.
The needs extend beyond logistics:
• Purchasing a camp in Galeana remains a priority for the children, because the place where they are educated must be a place of honor. Comparing education in the United States to other countries, we know it is a privilege that our children have, and we honor God when we honor the children.
• In Reynosa, we want to finish building Pastor Socorro’s church, which has many material needs.
• And we continue to pray for the expansion of missions and the preparation of sent ones to the nations.
Beloved, we could mention numbers, but no number can capture the greatness of God’s work. Every contribution, great or small, done in love is for the glory of God.
We are also praying, because God has begun to open doors, and the world awaits those who say: Here am I, Lord, send me. Chuy is ready to go into all the world and lift up the name of Christ. I, Jesse, am also ready, with God’s help, to move under His will, as it has always been, for a life with direction is a life connected to the eternal, where there are no mistakes.
We love you, we bless you, we intercede for you, and we keep working.
