As church members, Sunday services each week are a very important part of our lives. While they are important, we also want everyone to be safe. Due to the inclement weather that is moving in tomorrow and Sunday, our Sunday services will be cancelled. I will be putting a message on our page so your family will be able to worship in the safety of your home. If you wish to give your tithes, you can go to the church website lavergnefirstmethodistchurch.com/give or use this link Venmo app: -FirstUnitedMethodist or if you choose, just keep them until next week. Your contributions are very much appreciated because they allow us to continue ministry in our community. Also, please make an effort to check on your neighbors, especially the elderly people in your neighborhood, to ensure that they have adequate food and heat. As we all are aware, the snow has created some obstacles to getting out. While there will be minimal melting today (high expected 34), the low is supposed to be 22 and anything that melts will refreeze in the morning. As always, I want to be protective of the well-being of our congregation. With that being said, I am cancelling services tomorrow. I will be having a message on Facebook for everyone to watch.
