Our scripture lesson today was from John 16:29-33, special music was a Memorial Day Tribute, with slides of our veterans no longer with us, by the Chancel Choir, special recognition of our graduates, and our message was "Graduation" by Pastor Doug.

Today we held Memorial Day ceremonies at the LaRue Cemetery to "Remember and Honor" our veterans who are no longer with us.

We wish to express our sincere gratitude to:
- Rick Berry for serving as the emcee
- Pastor Douglas Thompson for his invocation
- the LaRue UMC Chancel Choir, directed by Betty Jo McElroy, for the patriotic musical presentations
- Larry Knapp serving as our guest speaker
- Troy Wiseman commanded the Honor Guard
- McKenna Wiseman served as flag bearer
- Beverly Anderson, special guest and for laying of the wreath
- Montgomery Township Officials Jeff Wall and Tom Ford for logistics at the cemetery
- and for everyone who attended today.

Oh, and Mother Nature for beautiful weather this morning.

To the LaRue UMC congregation, just a little reminder that our 5th Sunday Potluck will be THIS SUNDAY, May 31st!! Please bring a covered dish and plan to stay after church and enjoy delicious home-cooked specialties along with wonderful fellowship. Please share with others and see you Sunday!
