e literal return of Christ to planet earth. Our pastor, Rev. Tom Aldridge, leads our Church family with a gentle and compassionate spirit, welcoming everyone who enters our doors. His deep love for God and Christ is evident in his preaching which is positive, uplifting and strongly rooted in the Bible's core message that Jesus Christ is our Savior, that he gave his life for our salvation and that the only way to the Father is through Him. Good morning Second Baptist Church of La Porte family and friends.

We were blessed to have Brother Jerry set-up our church FB account many years ago. Since he has moved his membership to a sister church, it is time for us to close this account and start a new one.

We looked into keeping the account and transferring it to the church email, instead of Brother Jerry’s email, but FB said that isn’t possible.

It may take some time, but once the new account is up and running, please Follow it again and tag people you think would like to keep up with the church.

Pastor Ordination for Rev. Fred McGowan was held on May 30th. A time of fellowship was enjoyed at the Dairy Queen on Broadway in La Porte after the ceremony. We’d like to thank Ms. Pat, the owner, for the complimentary sweet treats and reserved seating. We will definitely support our local DQ again!
