Bay Area Outreach Ministries is an open fellowship model. The goal of our ministry is to form a fellowship network that takes the Word of God to where people are. We bring weekly messages and discussion questions to communities in an open environment where there is no “formal” church influence and people can feel comfortable in a “come as you are” concept. By changing the setting, it allows people
who have no church background to accept
invitations to study the Bible. There are no formal sermons, just open discussions where people can learn by asking questions and talking about God with others. Most people who attend Bay Area Outreach were not attending church at all before their introduction to an Open Group discussion. For many, it is easier to explore the Bible this way than a church building. Resources should go towards people and not places. Since we use community parks as our meeting spaces, we use much of our financial contributions to fund our community service projects and to send people on short-term mission trips. Giving to Bay Area Outreach Ministries emphasizes people. We hope you will look into our ministry and join us on our mission to help people discover a relationship with Jesus Christ.
