Prayer Point โ€“ June โ€“ Week 1
Be Light

God, help me grow deeper in Your Word so I can live out the Great Commission: sharing Your truth and helping make disciples who also shine Your light.

We bring the light to the world when we live according to the Kingdom of God and not the kingdoms of the people. When we choose justice over selfishness. When we choose love over greed. When we choose sacrifice over comfort.

We are to be like Paul and Barnabas, bringing light to the very people who seem lease deserving. People like us, who have lived in darkness, who are waiting to see the Light of heaven.

Now at Iconium they (Paul and Barnabas) entered together into the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed. But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers. So they remained for a long time, speaking boldly for the Lord, who bore witness to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands. ... Acts 14:1-3

We all have a testimony or testimonies. God is always good and therefore, we can boldly tell of His goodness and grace. Someone may be going through what you have just walked to the other side of. This may be a one and only opportunity for you to share with them the love of Jesus. We have to take every single opportunity,
because all of them are gifted to us by the Holy Spirit. Not for our benefit, but for the glory of God. When that does happen we MUST give all glory and honor to Jesus, for putting us in that situation, for bringing up our own testimony and for giving us the boldness to share. We never know the impact we WILL have on others as we do as the Holy Spirit prompts.

And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. Revelation 12:11

"Your testimony has power. If God has done something in your life, don't just receive it and not share it. Share it because someone else may have gone through worse or may be currently going through what you went through." - Pastor Brandon

Prayer Point โ€“ May โ€“ Week 4
Be Light

God, give me the courage and compassion to serve others, opening doors for divine encounters where Your light can shine.

In order for us to really be what Jesus wants us to be, we must be broken; being torn within our spirit over the areas in our lives that arenโ€™t pleasing to God.

Coming to Jesus with a broken spirit is all about recognizing that we are flawed and need to depend on Him daily. We need to allow Him to reflect His light in the darkest parts of the world we live in.

Your ability to present yourself broken before the Lord is the catalyst that ignites the Light within you to illuminate the dark corners in your world.

What are some things in your life that are keeping your light from shing as bright as it should? Pride? Your circle of influence?
Whatever it is, if we are unable to be broken before the Lord, we will be unable to experience all that He has for us.

How can your brokenness have an effect on your circle of friends,
family co-workers or community?

For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. 2 Corinthians 7:10

Remembrance is an act of gratitude. Today, we honor the sacrifice, courage, and lives that will not be forgotten.
