We’re excited to share some wonderful news about what God is doing at Life Community Church!

Please join us in congratulating Krystian Martinez, who will be stepping into the role of LifeKids Director, leading and investing in the next generation of children and families.

We’re also excited to announce that Michael & Bonnie Summers will be serving as our Young Adults Directors, helping create a place where young adults can grow in their faith, build authentic community, and discover God’s purpose for their lives.

We’re so thankful for each of these leaders and their willingness to serve. We know God has incredible things ahead for these ministries, and we can’t wait to see the lives that will be impacted through their leadership.

Take a moment to welcome and encourage them as they begin this exciting new chapter!

1 Timothy 1: 12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, 13 even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted his people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief.

HE GIVES ME STRENGTH!

Absolutely nothing of eternal value is accomplished without God. When the great Apostle speaks of God giving him strength, it can only be understood as supernatural. After all, who gets stoned, shipwrecked, bitten by a snake, beaten, falsely accused, and thrown in prison, and lives to tell about it by their own strength and power? But beyond that, who has all of that happen to them and still has a vibrant faith in God? Where does my strength come from? The Lord Almighty. In the end, there is only One who deserves all the credit, Jesus Christ! HE GIVES ME STRENGTH!

Hebrews 12: 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.

INITIATING FAITH!

God continually initiates and creates opportunities to build our faith. Faith is not simply believing for a change; it is trusting God whether there is a change or not. How could we explain all the incredible miracles Jesus performed for people who are now all dead? So, why miracles? To build our faith and enable us to give God glory. God knows there is only one key that holds our relationship with Him together: faith. He therefore uses every opportunity to initiate and build our faith. JESUS, THE CHAMPION WHO INITIATES AND PERFECTS OUR FAITH!

Romans 2: 4 Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE GOD!

Yes, God is longsuffering and patiently kind toward us because He desires that we be in a relationship with Him. Some might believe that sending His only begotten Son to die for us was more than enough, but in reality, it was the open door God uses to engage with humanity. So God continually extends His mercy and grace despite our sinfulness, drawing us to Himself. WHAT GOOD NEWS, AND WHAT AN INCREDIBLE GOD!

1 Chronicles 13: 14 The Ark of God remained there in Obed-edom’s house for three months, and the LORD blessed the household of Obed-edom and everything he owned.

CREATED TO BE IN GOD'S PRESENCE!

What makes a man chase the presence of God for the rest of his life? It's finding fulfillment that makes him know he was created only to exist in God. It's what Obed-edom found, and why he would follow God's Ark for the remaining days of his life. So, what if everything we chase in life, hoping to find fulfillment, is futile? It is! Because there is only one thing that brings a man or woman completeness: the presence of God. WE WERE CREATED TO ABIDE IN GOD'S PRESENCE!

1 Chronicles 12: 32 From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.

GODLY WISDOM TRANSFORMS!

It's one thing to have wisdom for yourself, but quite another to pass it on to your children. And yes, this wisdom is not just about discerning the current state of affairs, but also about choosing the right course to take from there. Oh, that we might ask for and attain God's wisdom and become like the tribe of Issachar, who taught their children to walk in wisdom as well. GODLY WISDOM TRANSFORMS FAMILIES, COMMUNITIES, AND EVEN NATIONS.

Proverbs 18: 24 There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.

"FRIEND" OR FRIEND?

Everyone has "friends"! The people who stick around as long as everything is agreeable and the relationship seems to work on their terms. But life is too short to have disingenuous friends or to be one. Yes, real friends stick it out, no matter the offense, circumstance, or mistake. Real friends forgive and continue to love. And while we may believe our quest in life is to find real friends, in truth, it's learning to become a real friend. ARE WE A "FRIEND" OR A FRIEND?

Acts 27: 20 The terrible storm raged for many days, blotting out the sun and the stars, until at last all hope was gone.

DON'T LET YOUR STORM MAKE YOU A VICTIM!

Most everyone has weathered life's storms, which raged with such intensity and lasted so long that it's easy to think they may never end. And while a shipwreck sounds like the worst possible outcome, at least it gets us off the water and onto dry land. Yes, we may survive with only our lives, but the storm will end, and the sun will shine again. While storms come in life, God's love always remains faithful. The storm never defines who God is; it only tests our faith in who we believe God is. When it seems all hope is gone, God remains true! DON'T LET YOUR STORM MAKE YOU A VICTIM, BUT AN OVERCOMER!

1 Chronicles 6: 1 The sons of Levi were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
2 The descendants of Kohath included Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
3 The children of Amram were Aaron, Moses, and Miriam.
The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

A NEW LIFE AND A NEW IDENTITY!

Bloodlines are important! In Biblical times, when a bloodline was lost or abolished, the descendants lost their sense of identity. Today, we may not fully understand the importance of bloodlines because we believe each person is left to establish their identity. So, yes, bloodlines seem to have lost their significance. But not in the Kingdom of God, where Jesus, through his sacrifice, has established a new bloodline for every believer. Today, we can trace our identity right back to the cross; it is the place where new lives and a new identity are secured for now and forevermore. A NEW LIFE AND A NEW IDENTITY!
