Grace Lutheran Church was established in 1967 and founded Grace Lutheran School in 1974. Both the Church and school are located 1/4 mile east of the center of La Plata on Charles Street/Route 6. We provide our students with a Christian education enhanced with a stimulating and challen

ging curriculum within a warm and encouraging learning environment. The goal of Grace Lutheran School is to share Jesus Christ with each child and challenge them to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually as a unique child of God. It is to this end that religion classes are taught at all grade levels as a regular part of the curriculum. Grace has a 46 year tradition of outstanding academics that comply with Maryland state standards. Grace is accredited by the National Lutheran Schools Association, Cognia and Middle States and our teachers are degreed classroom educators.

Join us on May 8 from 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM for a morning full of energy, laughter, and friendly competition led by Ms. Daniels and Ms. Lynne. From games to team challenges, it’s all about fun, movement, and school spirit.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4–8, and we have something special planned each day to show our love and gratitude. From flowers and colorful outfits to sweet notes and thoughtful treats, it’s all about making our teachers feel seen, valued, and celebrated.
