From ANGIE GUTA: We are in the process of moving and we would love to bless someone in need. We have a loveseat that we would love to give to someone at church (or a church contact) who is in need. It is in very good condition (soft, comfy and chocolate brown in color)! If you are or know of someone who is in need of a couch, please let us know.

We would need to make arrangements for the loveseat to be picked up by June 27th at the latest.

We have a number of paid staff positions that we are looking to fill in the weeks & months ahead. Please let us know if you (or someone you know, if the position is open to non-Redeemer attenders) would like to find out more information about the job by emailing [email protected].

Custodian (8 hours a week, on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday): cleaning the church Sanctuary, classrooms, and offices (not including space rented to Saemmool Church in Boerger Hall wing)--does NOT need to attend Redeemer, can begin immediately

Nursery Coordinator (3-6 hours per month, on 1-2 Sundays): leading the Nursery volunteers & taking care of one aspect of Nursery ministries--should attend Redeemer, can begin immediately

Office Admin & Ministry Assistant (10 hours a week, mainly on Wednesdays & Fridays): working with Executive Pastor & staff to plan church activities, print worship booklets, maintain office supplies & files, send invoices & employees hours to bookkeeper (no finance skills needed; familiarity with Google apps required)--should attend Redeemer, can begin immediately

Worship Leader (10 hours a week, once to twice a month)--planning and leading worship in church services--should attend Redeemer, can begin immediately

Facilities Worker (12 hours a week, Sunday from 8:00-9:00pm; Monday & Tuesday from 8:00-10:00am, other hours are flexible between 8:00am-6:00pm Monday-Saturday): light maintenance duties, minor repairs, painting, etc.; coordinating with contractors (electrician, plumber, etc.) for major repairs--does NOT need to attend Redeemer, could begin as soon as August

Come on out tonight at 7:00pm as Phil Glenn leads us an “intentional” time of worship and prayer as we move from all of the loss of the last year and outdoor worship to finding hope & renewal as we move indoors!

Plus: cheesecake bar and a toast with sparkling cider!!

Here is a great CT article about the complex topic of how the evangelical movement is splintering more deeply these days.

One quote that I think exemplifies our community (may God help us to continue doing so):

"Rather than withdrawing into communities of common loathing, the church should be offering a community of common love, a sanctuary from the fragmentation and polarization, from the loneliness and isolation of the present moment. The church should model what it means to care for one another in spite of our differences on social and political matters and affirm the incomparably deeper rootedness of our identity in Christ."

Tomorrow marks 3 years since our dearly loved brother John Boerger passed away. It is so fitting that we are having a church work day tomorrow...he was such a model of humble, committed service to God and the church. I pray that others will rise up to follow in his example in the days to come!!
