Ed is out of surgery, and everything went well! According to Linda on CaringBridge:

All is well.
There were no hiccups.
Dr. Kearns called to chat about the surgery at 4:45AM. The actual surgery took less than 7 hours.
He is LVAD and ICD free and has a new heart!
He will be sedated for at least 2 days so we won’t be able to have a conversation but he is in his ICU room now. I’ll be going in as soon as they have him settled in the room so I’ll be able to share more later.
We are grateful!

Praise God!

Let’s praise God, Church! Praise the Father! Praise the Son! Praise the Holy Spirit! Praise Him for His lovingkindness! Praise Him for His mercy! Praise Him for His faithfulness! AND keep up those prayers as Ed recovers and his body adjusts to his new heart. The Lord has been gracious, and we say, “More please!”

Ed wanted to share one more thing with you before he went back into surgery.

We’re happy to let you know that Ed is being taken into surgery right now! Let’s pray for him through this procedure, that the heart is a perfect match, that the family experiences peace and hope in the Lord, and that this is the best surgery that the operating team has ever performed.

Church, now is the time we have been praying for! You have been amazing in your prayers and support of Ed and Linda. Let’s keep it up! Let’s act on the teaching of Paul, who wrote in Colossians, “Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving.” Let’s get devoted, let’s be praying, let’s keep alert, and let’s keep thanking God for the miracle-worker He is.

ED MAY HAVE ANOTHER HEART

This might feel like deja vux, but Ed could be receiving a new heart tonight!

Another heart has become available, so we wanted to get to praying right away... again! As you are now well aware, things can change, and the surgery could be called off, but let’s pray this is the heart for Ed and that the surgery happens!

Thank you for your love and prayers for Ed and the whole Noble family as they ride this roller coaster. Let’s pray big prayers, once again trusting that our God will do good and beautiful things in this story. After all, “It’s impossible to pray and for nothing to happen.”

The surgery has been cancelled.

Well, this was always a possibility. The doctors discovered a fungus in the donor and decided that it would not be a good idea to move forward with the surgery.

While this is very disappointing, Ed and Linda are praising God that He has once again protected Ed from the wrong heart.

AND, this is disappointing. Please pray for their buckets to be filled to overflowing with hope, trust, and encouragement. We are still believing that the right heart will be provided by God at the right time; “God’s ways are always better; God’s timing is always perfect.”

The prayer service tonight is cancelled, but please still continue to pray for Ed and Linda as they move back into the waiting place.

ED MIGHT HAVE A NEW HEART TODAY

Many of you have probably already seen Linda’s update on CaringBridge, but in case you haven’t, Ed might be receiving a new heart tonight!

A heart is available and looks promising, so we wanted to get to praying right away! Now, things could still change, and the surgery could be called off, but let’s pray this is the heart for Ed and that the surgery happens! As it stands right now, surgery will take place sometime around 3pm.

Thank you for your deep love and earnest prayers for Ed and Linda. We are eager for a successful surgery and a full restoration of health, so let’s be praying big prayers! After all, as Ed likes to remind us, “It’s impossible to pray and for nothing to happen.”

Update : Ed’s surgery has been cancelled. The doctor said it wasn’t the right heart for him. Thank you for praying. And let’s continue praying for the right heart to come to Ed ❤️

CHURCH FAMILY LETS START PRAYING

Pastor Ed received the call that he may be getting a heart TODAY.
Surgery is scheduled for 9pm tonight, but the transplant team first needs to make sure the heart is a healthy and good match.
