Ladies, life can be full. The days fill up quickly, and meaningful connection can often get pushed aside.

Join us this Saturday at 10:00 AM at the church for a relaxed morning of fellowship, encouragement, and conversation with sisters in Christ. Whether you’ve been attending for years or are newer to the church, we’d love for you to come spend some time with us. Food will be provided.

As women, we are constantly being told where beauty is found. God’s Word points us to something far more lasting—an imperishable beauty that comes from a heart devoted to Him.

Bring a friend, enjoy some good fellowship, and be encouraged in the Lord. We look forward to seeing you there.

MY REASON EMPLOYED FOR YOUR TRUTH

“Lord, here is a heart that I strive to make and keep void of offense. Please fill it with your promised grace and Spirit.

Of course my heart is not a mansion pure enough for the pure and holy God. Even so, will you accept it and dwell here? There are still many hidden corruptions, but search them out. And you, who have kept your servant from obvious sins, would you also cleanse me from secret faults?

Lord, I am blind and ignorant, and I cannot see through to the consequences. Things that I think are for my advantage may prove to be a snare and a curse.

But in your infinite wisdom you know everything, so I resign my choice to you. Choose for me. And however your providence will order my affairs, make me then as thankful for disappointment as I ought to be for success.

Lord, your word has taught me many mysteries which my weak and short-sighted reason cannot comprehend. But I desire to sit at your feet; your word will shape my outlook.
And this I understand: you who are very truth can neither deceive nor be deceived. So I find infinitely more reason to believe anything you tell me than to disbelieve it-even if it seems impossible, Since you have spoken it, I fully assent. And I deliver up all the cheeky impudence of my reason to be chastised and tutored by faith. Amen.”

Prayers of the Puritans

As the staff at The Terra Nova School, we will miss the daily joys that fill these halls far beyond academics alone. We will miss hearing their prayers, their thoughtful questions, their sudden “aha” moments when truth clicks, their singing echoing through the classrooms, their laughter between lessons, and the many small conversations that remind us these students are not just being educated, but shaped.

One student wrote in her booklet the name of a loved one she is praying would come to know God. Moments like that stay with you. They remind us that the Lord is at work in ways no test score could ever measure.

Yesterday was the last day of school, and if you asked some of the students—many were genuinely sad for it to end for the season. That says something beautiful about the kind of community that has been built here.

As summer break begins, our prayer is that this time away would be meaningful for our students and families. That there would be rest, growth, joyful memories made together, and continued faithfulness in the ordinary moments of home life. We are grateful for this school year and already look forward to what the Lord will do in the next one.

Men: This Friday, 7pm. Brotherhood softball night. ⚾️

No big production. Just a good night to get together, compete a little, laugh a lot, and spend time with brothers in Christ outside the usual routine.

Bring your glove. Bring your kids. Bring someone who’s been meaning to get connected.

Some of the guys will play like it’s Game 7 of the World Series. Others will pull a hamstring jogging to first base. Either way, it’ll be a good time.

Today, our church had the joy of formally voting, recognizing and installing Paul Stevens as a deacon.

Scripture lays out the qualifications clearly: a deacon is to be reverent, faithful, self-controlled, not double-tongued, not greedy for dishonest gain, and one who serves with a pure conscience and proven character. (1 Timothy 3:8–13)

By God’s grace, Paul has demonstrated this kind of steady faithfulness for years—not through self-promotion, but through service, consistency, humility, and love for Christ and His church.

We thank the Lord for men who are willing to serve, labor, and bear responsibility in the household of God.

“Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.” 1 Corinthians 4:2

Motherhood is some of the most important work done on this earth, even when it feels repetitive, exhausting, and unseen.

The world pushes women to chase recognition elsewhere while overlooking the eternal weight sitting right at their own table. But Scripture speaks differently. A mother fearing the Lord is doing work that matters deeply before God.

We thank God for faithful mothers—the ones who serve, teach, correct, pray, sacrifice, nurture, and continue showing up day after day.

“She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.” Proverbs 31:27
