June is Pride Month — a time to celebrate the belovedness, dignity, gifts, and sacred worth of our LGBTQIA+ siblings.
As United Methodists, we believe God’s grace is wide, Christ’s table is open, and the Holy Spirit is still calling the Church toward deeper love, justice, healing, and belonging.

Pride reminds us that welcome is not simply a word we say. It is a way we live. It is how we honor the image of God in one another. It is how we repent of harm, practice compassion, and build communities where every person can know they are seen, valued, and loved.

Across the Mountain Sky Conference, we give thanks for LGBTQIA+ clergy, laity, families, leaders, neighbors, and friends whose lives and witness strengthen the Body of Christ.

May this month be more than a celebration. May it be a renewed commitment to love boldly, walk humbly, and help create a Church where all people can flourish in the fullness of who God created them to be.

🌳✨ A Day of Celebration and Heritage ✨🌳

On this beautiful day, May 31, 2026, members and friends of the United Methodist Church of La Junta gathered beneath the shade of our beloved San Juan trees to celebrate a significant milestone—the official hanging of our National Register plaque.

Joined by pastor Rev. Lynne Tabb, we honored not only this historic recognition, but also the generations of faithful servants who have called this church home. We celebrate our present congregation, remember those who came before us, and look with hope toward those who will carry this legacy into the future.

Today marks more than the placement of a plaque—it marks a commitment to preserving our story, our faith, and our place in the history of La Junta.
