TRUST. Today’s devo led us to the story of Jesus and His disciples crossing the stormy sea. 3 things we have to see. In the midst of the storm, God provided Jesus rest, cause the brother was asleep! When you trust God, doesn’t matter how crazy things are, you can trust He is in control. Second thing was when Jesus said, “Hush, be still.” The wind and stormy waves stopped immediately. Creation recognized the creators voice. The same voice that created everything in nature, created your soul, and when you allow that voice to speak into your life (picking up the Bible), your soul and any restlessness will know it well. The final thought is that even Jesus closest followers were amazed by His power, even though they had already seen Him do many miraculous things. For some of us, we feel like we’ve seen it all. We’ve been there with our faith, done that.. and we actually consider Jesus mediocre comparable to our mediocre faith. Becoming numb to the power of Jesus and what He can do in your life can be a struggle. Start by stopping the notion of what you can do for Him, and revisit what He did for you. He is barely getting started. TRUST in Him.
